Suno is the clearest documented choice if you want to enter your own lyrics and generate a vocal song. Its Custom mode accepts supplied lyrics. AIVA and SOUNDRAW are useful for different jobs—AI composition, beats, and background music—but the official pages reviewed here do not establish the same lyrics-to-vocal-song workflow. Which tool fits depends on whether you need your words sung, how you plan to edit the result, and whether you need commercial-use rights.
Which AI song maker is best for your own lyrics?
For turning lyrics you have already written into a song with vocals, Suno is the strongest directly documented match among these three services. Suno’s Help Center explains that you can select Custom mode and enter your own lyrics. That makes it a better-supported recommendation for this specific task than a service described primarily as a composition, beat, or background-score generator.
This is not a definitive ranking of every AI music platform, and it is not a judgment about which service sounds best. The official product information reviewed supports a feature-based comparison of Suno, AIVA, and SOUNDRAW, but does not establish equivalent lyric-to-vocal workflows for AIVA or SOUNDRAW.

- Lyrics and vocals: Confirm that you can provide your own words and that the service generates a vocal performance, not only instrumental backing.
- Revision and editing: Check whether the plan lets you edit the generated result or export materials for further production. Provider descriptions of editing tools are not independent assessments of how well they work.
- Usable output: Compare credits, download limits, track length, and available export formats for the plan you would actually use.
- Rights for the specific track: Read the terms attached to the plan and to when the song was created. Rights to lyrics you supplied are not necessarily the same as rights to the generated recording.

Suno: the documented lyrics-to-song option
Can I use my own lyrics?
Yes. Suno’s Help Center article “Can I use my own lyrics?”, edited December 19, 2025, says to choose Custom mode and enter your own lyrics. It also says: “Regardless of which version of Suno you use, you retain ownership and rights to any original lyrics you input into Suno.” That statement concerns lyrics you wrote and supplied; it should not be read as a blanket statement that you own every element or copyright in every generated song.

What do Suno’s plans include?
Suno’s official pricing page currently lists these monthly figures and allowances. The page also advertises savings for annual billing and says taxes are calculated at checkout, so confirm the checkout terms and current plan details before subscribing.

These are plan entitlements published by Suno, not a guarantee of a particular number of finished songs: credits are not the same thing as downloads. Check the plan page for current details and for any limits on the outputs or exports you need.

Can I use a Suno song commercially?
Suno’s Help Center article on commercial use, edited December 17, 2025, says songs made on the Free plan are for noncommercial use by default. It also says that subscribing to Pro or Premier does not ordinarily grant commercial-use rights retroactively to songs created on the Free plan, although Suno may offer such rights for specific songs in certain cases. If a track matters for a commercial project, check its creation plan and applicable terms rather than assuming an upgrade clears it.
Can I edit the generated music?
Suno describes editing and creation features that include MIDI, effects, automation, advanced editing, and stem extraction for eligible plans. Its Help Center index identifies v6 models and entries updated September 9, 2026. These are features Suno says it offers; availability may depend on plan, and the descriptions do not establish a particular level of output quality.

AIVA: an adjacent choice for AI composition
AIVA’s official product page describes music generation in more than 250 styles, plus audio or MIDI influence, editing, and downloads. It is relevant if you want AI-assisted composition, but the reviewed page does not document entering your lyrics to create a vocal song. Treat it as an adjacent composition option, not a confirmed equivalent to Suno for this task.

- Pro: AIVA says users own the copyright to their compositions and can fully monetize them. Its product page states: “Want to monetize music generated with AIVA? Subscribe to our Pro Plan to own the full copyright of your compositions, forever.”
The page lists Standard at €11 per month and Pro at €33 per month when billed annually, plus VAT. These are AIVA’s displayed plan rates and terms; check the current offer and the detailed conditions before relying on them.

SOUNDRAW’s official page focuses on generating and customizing beats and background scores. It describes controls for instruments, intensity, and length, and says its AI is trained on music created in-house. SOUNDRAW also says its generated tracks carry a commercial-use license. Those are the provider’s descriptions, not an independent legal guarantee.

The reviewed page does not establish that you can enter your own lyrics and generate a vocal song with SOUNDRAW. Consider it for accompaniment or creator background music, rather than as a documented lyric-to-vocal-song tool.
