A video reported by Hindustan Times showed several plush toys hanging from a terrace drying rope as rain fell in Bengaluru. Instagram user Suryakant Sharma posted the clip, then shared an update saying the toys had made it through the night after what he described as a 10-hour ordeal.
What happened to the plushie squad?
Hindustan Times reported on October 1, 2026, that heavy rain affected parts of Bengaluru on Wednesday. A video posted on Instagram by Suryakant Sharma showed several plush toys hanging from a cloth-drying rope on a terrace while rain fell.
The clip’s on-screen text joked that the owner was “probably stuck in traffic” and urged viewers: “Send immediate rescue teams. They can’t swim for that long!” Sharma also jokingly called for a rescue team in the caption, according to the report.

What did the update say?
Sharma later posted an update showing the toys still hanging from the rope. He described them as having survived a “brutal 10-hour battle,” and wrote: “After 10 hours of torrential rain and surviving a freezing Bangalore night, the plushie squad finally sees the light! Bangalore weather really gives you all four seasons in 24 hours!!”

What is—and isn’t—confirmed?
The account is a small viral social-media story, not a documented weather report. The cited article identifies Sharma as the poster and describes what appeared in the videos, but it does not establish an exact terrace location within Bengaluru, rainfall amount, temperature, damage to the toys, or independent confirmation of the exposure duration.
