The Bellini BI604TG is a four-zone, 60 cm induction cooktop, but CHOICE lists it as discontinued. Public information confirms its main specifications, not a public performance score, so whether it is worth keeping or buying used depends on its condition, fit and your needs. Check the model suffix and your countertop measurements before relying on specifications: Bellini’s feature page covers the related BI604TG-F, and its manual gives installation dimensions that differ from CHOICE’s listing.
Is the Bellini BI604TG any good?
The available evidence is enough to assess the BI604TG’s size, power and basic design, but not to declare it a strong or weak performer. CHOICE lists a 2023-or-earlier test and marks the model discontinued; its expert rating and detailed test scores are available only to members. The public listing therefore does not support a numerical score or a blanket recommendation. CHOICE’s BI604TG listing
For an existing owner, the practical decision is whether the cooktop still works safely and reliably, and whether you can obtain any needed service or parts. For a used or remaining-stock unit, assess its condition and confirm the precise model, installation fit and local support before committing. CHOICE lists a price of $445, but that is an undated listing, not a verified current offer.

What features does it have?
The BI604TG manual documents nine power levels and the four zone sizes and ratings above. Bellini’s product page describes the BI604TG-F—not the unsuffixed BI604TG—as having sensor touch controls, nine power stages, child lock, automatic pan recognition, a 99-minute timer, automatic safety shutoff and a hard-wired connection. Treat those as claims for the suffixed variant unless you confirm they apply to your particular unit. Bellini BI604TG-F product page

What size cutout does the Bellini BI604TG need?
The BI604TG manual specifies a countertop cutout of 560–564 mm by 490–494 mm and shows a 50 mm minimum clearance in the relevant dimension. CHOICE separately gives installation dimensions of 57 × 50 cm. Because the published figures do not match, do not assume a nominal 60 cm width or CHOICE’s listing is enough to confirm a fit.

Bellini BI604TG installation and operation manual
Is the BI604TG discontinued, and should you buy one used?
CHOICE marks the BI604TG as discontinued. That indicates the model is no longer current in its listing, but it does not establish whether a particular retailer has leftover stock or whether a used unit is available. The $445 shown by CHOICE is not evidence of a current selling price.
If considering a used or remaining-stock cooktop, check the exact model and suffix, the glass surface for cracks or damage, whether all controls and zones operate, the included documentation, warranty terms and availability of support or parts. Bellini’s page mentions spare-parts support, but confirm the part and its availability with Bellini for your exact model before relying on it.

Does it need a hard-wired electrical connection?
Bellini’s BI604TG-F page specifies a hard-wired connection. The BI604TG manual says installation and connection must be carried out by trained, registered service engineers, and discusses ventilation, clearances and electrical supply. Confirm the requirements for the exact unit and applicable local rules with a qualified professional; do not treat cooktop installation as a plug-in replacement.
If the glass ceramic is cracked or damaged, the manual instructs users to turn the appliance off and disconnect it. Do not continue using a damaged surface.

What is the verdict?
The BI604TG may suit someone who already owns one or has found a sound unit that fits an existing kitchen, but the public evidence does not establish its comparative cooking performance. Its discontinued status, the mismatch between published installation dimensions, and the BI604TG-F suffix on Bellini’s feature page make exact-model verification especially important. Compare any replacement on fit, zone layout, connection, warranty and independently available test results rather than treating the CHOICE listing price or inaccessible rating as a current buying verdict.
