It was aimed at the Australian market. CHOICE lists it as discontinued, so before you plan a purchase, confirm that a seller actually has stock and that your cut-out and electrical supply match the figures below. Is the BCT903IG still available?
Not reliably. CHOICE’s model listing, checked in early October 2026, marks the BCT903IG as discontinued and shows a price of $1,899. That price is a snapshot from the listing and may change, so treat it as a reference point rather than an offer. A retailer product page for the model also remains online, but its presence does not show that stock is held. Cooking zones and controls
Zones and the Flexizone
The five zones include one Flexizone, which Beko calls IndyFlex. A Flexizone lets you join a section of the cooktop into a larger cooking area, which suits a rectangular pan or griddle. Beko’s listing confirms that the zone exists; it does not publish a pan-size chart in the material reviewed, so check the zone dimensions in the manual against your cookware before buying.
Touch controls and power levels
The BCT903IG uses direct-access touch controls, with separate controls for each zone as shown in Beko’s manufacturer PDF. Each zone offers 15 cooking levels. Booster mode gives a temporary maximum output for fast heating. Memory lets the cooktop recall a recent setting for a zone.

Automatic functions and safety features
Beko lists stop-and-go, a timer with buzzer, a key lock, residual-heat indicators and automatic shut-off. The PDF also names warm-keeping, simmer and frying automatic functions. These are manufacturer feature claims. They describe what the controls are designed to do; they are not results from independent testing.
Installation requirements
Installation is the step most likely to decide whether this model works in your kitchen. Beko’s user manual (2019) states: “Product must be installed by a qualified person in accordance with the regulations in force.” The manual also warns that unauthorised procedures may cause damage and may void the warranty.

Electrical supply
- The manufacturer lists a total electric power of 10.8 kW and a 40 A fuse.
- Have a licensed electrician confirm that the circuit, cable and isolation switch meet the local code for that load.
- Do not treat the fuse figure as a substitute for an on-site check of your existing supply.
Cut-out and cabinetry
- Measure the benchtop opening and compare it with the 880 × 490 mm cut-out in the specification table.
- The manual says the worktop should be aligned and fixed horizontally, and it specifies safety distances from adjacent surfaces. Use the distances in the manual for your unit, not general figures.
- Check that the space beneath the hob and the cabinet behind meet the clearances in the same manual.
Cookware compatibility
Induction cooktops heat cookware through a magnetic field, so pans need a magnetic base. A quick test is to hold a fridge magnet to the base of each pan: if it sticks firmly, the pan will normally work on induction. Cookware explicitly marked induction-compatible is the simpler option when you buy new pans. Flat bases make better contact with the glass, and the Flexizone works best with cookware sized to the zone.
Warranty
The specification sheet lists a two-year warranty, extended to three years when the product is registered. Registration conditions, the start date and what counts as a valid claim depend on your region and retailer, so read the warranty terms that came with your purchase and keep the proof of purchase.
