What independent testing says
CHOICE lists the BCT604IG as tested, with a test period shown as 2024 onwards. The accessible listing does not disclose its expert rating or results for cooking performance, ease of use, low- and high-heat cooking, turn-down or boil time; those measures are members-only. See CHOICE’s Beko BCT604IG listing.

- 7100W Across 4 Induction Zones: This 30-inch built-in induction cooktop provides 7100W rated total power across four cooking zones measuring 160 mm, 180 mm, 280 mm, and 160 mm. Power sharing manages combined output between the left pair and the center/right pair.
- Measure Before Installation: Overall cooktop size is 30" W × 20.5" D × 2.17" H, with a required countertop cutout of 29" W × 19.5" D. Compare the opening, ventilation space, and installation diagram before ordering, especially when replacing an existing cooktop.
- 220–240V 40A Hardwired Connection: Designed for a 220–240V, 40A built-in connection using L1, L2, and ground. This cooktop does not use a standard household plug. Installation and grounding should be completed by a qualified technician following local electrical codes.
- Induction-Compatible Cookware: Works with flat-bottom cast iron, magnetic stainless steel, and cookware with an induction-ready magnetic base. Use a magnet test to confirm compatibility; aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic, and non-magnetic stainless steel require a magnetic induction base.
- 9 Power Levels and 5-Minute Boost: Use the touch slider to select one of 9 power levels. Power Boost temporarily increases the selected zone's output, displays P, and runs for up to 5 minutes before returning to level 9; it cannot be activated twice within 10 minutes.
Consumer NZ’s cooktop comparison page was updated in July 2026 and includes a BCT604IG entry, but its accessible listing does not show a model-specific test result. See Consumer NZ’s cooktop comparison.
These pages confirm that the model appears in independent testing or comparison coverage, but they do not provide enough accessible data to call its measured performance good or poor. No hands-on test results are available here.

The product fiche gives external dimensions of 580 × 510 mm and a cutout of 560 × 490 mm. Beko New Zealand lists 59 cm width, 52 cm depth and 5.2 cm height, with the same cutout. The difference in published external dimensions is a reason to check the installation diagram for the exact market and model, rather than relying on a retailer’s headline measurements.
Before ordering, have a qualified installer confirm the cutout, clearances and electrical connection against the installation instructions for your location. The product fiche lists 7.4 kW total power and a minimum fuse of 16 A × 2. Beko New Zealand specifies 220–240 V 1N or 380–415 V 2N at 50 Hz. These arrangements are region-dependent; do not assume a supply configuration from another country applies to your home.

Cookware and glass care
Choose compatible pans
Beko says cookware should have a ferrous metal base, a flat bottom and be centered on the cooking zone. A pan that is not induction-compatible may not heat as expected. Zone flexibility and the Move Function do not remove the need for compatible cookware. Read Beko’s hob-use guidance.

Clean the surface safely
For the glass, Beko advises using cold water and a soft cloth, and avoiding aggressive detergents or tools that could scratch the surface. For stubborn stains, its guidance suggests applying a suitable cleaning agent with a sponge. If the glass is cracked or damaged, switch the appliance off, do not use it, and contact an authorized service agent. See Beko Australia’s glass-cleaning guidance.
Energy figure, warranty and price
Beko’s domestic-electric-hob fiche gives an energy consumption figure of 185.77757187696 Wh/kg. The fiche’s publication year is not established in the available record. This figure is not an estimate of a household’s annual electricity bill and, on its own, does not establish how efficient the cooktop is compared with alternatives. View the energy fiche.
The October 2023 product fiche states “2 Years + 3 Years by Registration” for manufacturer warranty. The additional period is registration- and market-dependent; confirm current eligibility, deadlines and terms in your country before purchase.
CHOICE displayed a price of $1,499 on its product listing when accessed in October 2026. That listing price does not establish current retail availability or what the cooktop costs in another market.
Who should consider the BCT604IG?
It may suit a buyer seeking a 60 cm built-in induction cooktop with flexible cooking areas and a broad set of control and safety features, provided the installation and cookware are compatible. Buyers who need a verified cooking-performance ranking should obtain the full CHOICE results or another accessible model-specific test before deciding; the public evidence summarized here is not enough to rank it against alternatives.
