What was the Powerbeats Pro 2 Prime Day price?
PhoneArena reported the earbuds for just under $180 on October 5, 2026, describing it as Amazon’s lowest price to date. Men’s Health listed them at $180 against a $250 reference price on October 6, and WIRED described $180 as a match for its best-seen price. Those reports establish that multiple outlets cited the same deal; they do not independently verify an all-time Amazon price record.
October 2026 Prime Big Deal Days ran from Tuesday, October 6 through midnight October 7, according to Men’s Health. Its report does not specify the timezone for the ending time, and the event is over. The $180 figure is historical, not a confirmed current offer.

What makes these earbuds relevant for workouts?
Beats positions the Powerbeats Pro 2 as true wireless sport earbuds. Their ear hooks are intended to keep them secure during movement, and the feature set includes active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, and workout heart-rate monitoring. Beats describes them as “a comfortable sports earbud designed to stay locked on even during intense workouts”; that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent fit test.
Water resistance applies to the earbuds, not the case
Beats specifies IPX4 sweat and water resistance for the earbuds. The charging case is not sweat or water resistant, so it should not be treated as protected workout gear.

Battery life depends on listening mode
Beats lists up to 45 hours of listening in Adaptive EQ mode with the charging case, or up to 36 hours with ANC and Transparency enabled. These are manufacturer-stated maximums for the stated modes, rather than independent battery-test results.

Beats lists compatibility with Apple devices and Android support through the Beats app. On Android, the app enables one-touch pairing, heart-rate monitoring, customizable controls, battery-status widgets, and Locate My Beats. The earbuds also include five sizes of silicone eartips. The supported functions differ by ecosystem, so buyers should check which controls and services they need rather than assuming every feature works identically on both platforms.

Is $180 a good price for your workout needs?
The October offer represented a $70 reduction from the $250 reference price cited by Men’s Health. Whether it is the right buy depends on fit, phone ecosystem, and the features you will use. For workout use, weigh the ear-hook design and heart-rate feature against the IPX4 rating’s limited scope: the case itself is not water resistant. Also consider the lower stated battery maximum when listening with both ANC and Transparency enabled.
The reports do not provide a like-for-like independent comparison with alternatives. Men’s Health listed Powerbeats Fit at $160, but that deal roundup does not establish comparative performance. Treat the $180 Powerbeats Pro 2 figure as a time-limited past offer, and compare current prices only after checking live listings.

- Check the current Amazon price; the October 2026 event has ended.
- Confirm that the ear hooks and included eartip sizes suit your fit preferences.
- Account for the case’s lack of sweat and water resistance.

Beats says development included more than 1,500 hours of testing with nearly 1,000 athletes. That is a manufacturer-reported development figure, not independent clinical evidence or a comparative performance test.
