Beatport has taken on a growth investment from Square Nine Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm. Beatport CEO Matt Gralen said the company is excited to welcome Square Nine as a new capital partner. He added that Square Nine shares Beatport’s conviction in its leading position and strategic role, and that the company looks forward to working together as it continues to invest in its platform and expand the ways it serves the global electronic music community. That last phrase is the source of the headline.
