The Beatbot Sora 70 is a cordless pool cleaner designed to handle the surface, floor, walls and waterline, with support for some shallow platforms. Beatbot’s specifications make it an unusually broad all-in-one proposition, but its runtime depends on the cleaning mode, app navigation is limited to when the robot is at the surface, and its published performance claims have not been independently verified here. This review separates the manufacturer’s specifications from observations in a review published by Beatbot itself.

What the Sora 70 cleans—and what its modes include

Beatbot lists the Sora 70 for above-ground and in-ground pools, with compatibility across multiple pool materials and a maximum cleaning coverage of 300 m² (3,229 sq ft). These are manufacturer-published specifications, not a guarantee that every pool configuration within that area will be cleaned equally well. Check your pool’s dimensions and layout against the product details before buying. Beatbot’s product page and product overview provide the listed compatibility and coverage information.

Cleaning area Beatbot’s stated support
Pool floor Supported; Beatbot states up to 5 hours of floor cleaning per charge.
Walls and waterline Listed as covered areas; the cited materials do not give a separate runtime for these areas.
Water surface Supported; Beatbot states up to 7 hours of surface cleaning per charge.
Shallow platforms or steps Supported only when the platform is at least 3.3 ft × 3.3 ft (1 m × 1 m) and the water is more than 8 inches deep, per Beatbot’s footnote.

In Pro Mode, Beatbot says one cycle covers all five areas. Standard Mode excludes surface cleaning. The mode distinction matters: a cycle that does not include the surface should not be treated as equivalent to the all-area cycle.

Will it work for my pool shape and depth?

Beatbot lists the Sora 70 for above-ground and in-ground pools, but the available specifications do not establish support for every shape or unusual configuration. The clearest constraints are the listed maximum coverage of 300 m² (3,229 sq ft), a minimum operating water depth of 8 inches, and the platform size requirement. Beatbot qualifies platform cleaning as requiring water more than 8 inches deep, so a platform at exactly 8 inches does not meet that footnoted condition.

Beatbot Sora 70 AI Navigation Pool Vacuum Robot Full-Coverage Pool Cleaning
  • Full Pool Coverage: Covers every inch—water surface, waterline, floor, walls, and shallow areas as low as 8 inches.
  • Advanced Surface Cleaning: The industry-first JetPulse system uses dual water jets to create four streams that guide leaves and other surface debris straight into the suction inlet. Fast and precise.
  • Long-Lasting Battery: Powered by a 10,000 mAh battery, it runs up to 5 hours on floor cleaning and covers up to 3,200 sq. ft. per charge. More cleaning, fewer recharges.
  • Smart Surface Parking & One-Touch Retrieval: Automatically surfaces, parks at the pool edge, drains internal water for easy lifting, and stays afloat. Tap once in the Beatbot app to bring it back.
  • Powerful Suction: The HydroBalance Structure delivers 6,800 GPH of suction, picking up heavy debris in a single pass without clogging.

Before choosing it, compare your pool’s area, material, floor and wall transitions, and any shallow shelves with Beatbot’s current compatibility details. The stated coverage is a maximum specification, not a promise of identical results in pools with different layouts.

Cleaning, filtration, and battery claims

Beatbot lists a 10,000 mAh battery, up to 5 hours of floor cleaning, and up to 7 hours of surface cleaning. These are mode-specific manufacturer figures, not independent runtime measurements, and they should not be combined into a single expected cycle time. The listed charging time is approximately 4.5 hours. Actual usable time for a particular pool and cleaning pattern is not established by the cited material.

Beatbot Sora 70 AI Navigation Pool Vacuum Robot Full-Coverage Pool Cleaning
  • Complete Pool Cleaning: Built to clean beyond the pool floor, this robot tackles the water surface, waterline, walls, floor, and shallow areas down to 8 inches, helping keep the entire pool cleaner with less manual work.
  • Targeted Surface Debris Removal: JetPulse uses dual water jets to generate four directed streams, steering leaves and floating debris toward the suction inlet for quick, controlled pickup across the water surface.
  • Up to 5 Hours of Cleaning: A large battery provides up to 5 hours of floor cleaning and supports coverage of pools up to 3,200 sq. ft. on a single charge, so you can spend less time stopping to recharge.
  • Easy Retrieval at the Pool Edge: When cleaning is complete or the battery is low, the robot automatically rises to the surface and parks at the pool edge. It drains internal water and remains afloat, while one tap in the Beatbot app brings it within easy reach.
  • 6,800 GPH High-Flow Suction: The HydroBalance Structure generates up to 6,800 GPH of suction to capture leaves, dirt, and heavier debris in fewer passes. Its optimized water flow helps maintain consistent pickup while reducing the risk of clogging.

The debris basket is listed at 6 L and includes a 150 µm filter. Beatbot also offers a separately sold 3 µm filter for finer particles; that finer filtration is an optional purchase rather than the included configuration. The product page lists a suction flow rate of 6,800 GPH. These are specifications supplied by Beatbot, not independently tested results.

How surface pickup and retrieval work

Beatbot describes JetPulse as a twin, converging-jet system intended to draw floating debris toward the intake. It advertises “Cleaning Efficiency 50% Enhanced,” while identifying the performance data as internal testing and noting that results can vary with environmental and usage factors. Treat the percentage as a manufacturer marketing claim, not a validated comparison with other cleaners.

  • Effortless Lightweight Handling——Engineered with a balanced internal structure, the pool cleaner, offers a more agile and lightweight handling experience. Its optimized weight distribution makes lifting, carrying, and retrieving from the pool noticeably easier—reducing strain and simplifying every interaction.
  • Smart Waterline Parking for Easy Access——At the end of each cycle, the cleaner automatically returns to the waterline and stays in position for 10 minutes. No need to reach deep or fish it out—just grab and go.

For retrieval, Beatbot says the Sora 70 rises to the water surface and parks at the edge when a cleaning cycle ends or the battery runs low. It lists app controls, including navigation and one-tap retrieval, alongside physical offline controls. However, the app functions are restricted to surface operation: Beatbot’s overview states, “Due to Wi-Fi limitations, app navigation and one-click parking only work when the robot is on the water surface.” That means app navigation is not an underwater steering option.

Beatbot lists the robot at 22.9 lb. Consider that weight when planning to lift, carry, or clean the unit; surface parking and the SmartDrain retrieval feature may help with recovery, but do not make the robot weightless to handle.

What the manufacturer-published review reports

Beatbot’s own review article, published under the byline PoolRobotBeatbot and updated May 19, 2026, describes several weeks of use in a residential in-ground pool. It characterizes the Sora 70 as suited to routine maintenance involving leaves, pollen, sand, dust, and floating debris. Because the article is published by the manufacturer, these are manufacturer-reported observations rather than independent test findings.

The same article says surface mode is louder than previous Beatbot models and that edge skimming could improve. It also frames the Sora 70 as a more affordable all-in-one model that simplifies or omits some premium features found on higher-tier Beatbot models, including a wireless charging dock and water clarification system. Instead, the Sora 70 uses a physical charging port and supports the optional 3 µm filter. These are Beatbot’s own model comparisons, not an independent market survey. Controls, warranty, and return terms

Beatbot lists six app cleaning modes, smart monitoring, OTA updates, remote surface cleaning, and physical controls for offline operation. Its surface-only Wi-Fi limitation still applies to app navigation and one-click parking. The product page also lists a 3-year warranty and a 30-day return period for direct purchases. Confirm current terms and exclusions with Beatbot before relying on either, particularly if buying through another seller or channel.

Who should consider the Sora 70?

  • It may fit: pool owners who want one cordless unit that is specified to clean surface, floor, walls and waterline, and whose pool dimensions and shallow areas meet the published constraints.
  • Check carefully: owners who need fine-particle filtration, since the included filter is 150 µm and the 3 µm option is sold separately; those expecting app navigation below the surface; and anyone for whom carrying a 22.9 lb unit is a concern.
  • Compare alternatives by: cleaning areas, shallow-water and platform limits, pool compatibility and coverage, included filter rating, mode-specific runtime and charging time, retrieval controls, weight, and the applicable warranty and return terms.

The available sources establish Beatbot’s specifications and its own review observations, but do not provide a standardized independent competitor comparison. The Sora 70’s strongest case is the breadth of areas it is designed to cover; whether that breadth suits your pool depends on its dimensions, layout, preferred filtration, and handling needs.
