Check the model and revision before you buy
The deal report identifies the unit as BN515 and labels it ATX 3.0/PCIe 5.0. The current manufacturer page for Straight Power 12 850W displays article number BN337 and lists ATX 3.1/PCIe 5.1. These labels differ, so don’t assume the Amazon deal listing is the same revision described on the current product page. Confirm the listing’s model or article number and connector details; if they are unclear, check with the seller or manufacturer before relying on newer-generation compatibility.
Is 850W enough for an RTX 5080 PC?
The deal report says this 850W model can accommodate graphics cards up to an RTX 5080 and recommends at least 1,000W for an RTX 5090 build. Treat that as a sizing rule of thumb, not a guarantee for every PC: CPU choice, the rest of the system, GPU power demands and transient loads, and planned upgrades all affect PSU requirements. Check the graphics-card and CPU makers’ guidance and assess the complete build before choosing a wattage. TechGuided’s sizing guidance
