AYANEO’s NEXT II is a large-screen Windows gaming handheld announced with a custom 9.06-inch OLED display and a choice of AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 or Ryzen AI Max 385 processors. AYANEO later listed a starting price of US$1,799 and scheduled shipments to begin in June 2026; that announced date has passed, but the available information does not confirm whether shipments began or whether the device is currently in stock.
What is the AYANEO NEXT II?
AYANEO describes NEXT II as its flagship Windows handheld gaming PC. The company unveiled it on November 29, 2025, then published a later release with additional specifications, processor options, price and a planned shipping window. The details below distinguish that later specification from figures in the initial unveiling.

How big is the AYANEO NEXT II screen?
The later AYANEO release specifies a custom 9.06-inch OLED native landscape display with a resolution of 2400×1504. It lists selectable refresh rates of 60, 120, 144 and 165Hz, up to 1155 nits of global brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.

The November 29, 2025 unveiling also gave the 9.06-inch size and resolution, but listed a 90Hz option and 1100-nit global peak brightness. Those differences reflect two announcement versions; the later release lists no 90Hz mode.

Which processor does it use?
AYANEO lists two configurations: Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Ryzen AI Max 385. AMD’s specifications for the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 identify a 16-core Zen 5 processor paired with Radeon 8060S graphics featuring 40 graphics cores at up to 2900MHz. AMD also lists support for up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 126 total TOPS, including up to 50 NPU TOPS. These are chip-level specifications; they do not establish NEXT II’s memory configuration, game performance, or battery runtime.
The initial November unveiling stated an 85W TDP claim. The later release does not repeat that figure, so it should not be treated as a confirmed operating power setting for every NEXT II configuration.
What controls and cooling does AYANEO list?
AYANEO describes adjustable-torque TMR joysticks, Hall-effect linear triggers with dual-mode locks, an eight-direction D-pad, dual touchpads and rear buttons. The later release also specifies dual-fan cooling. These are announced features rather than findings from hands-on testing; no independent assessment of comfort, noise, temperatures or control accuracy is established here.
What is the battery capacity?
AYANEO’s later release lists a 116Wh battery; its November unveiling listed 115Wh. The company has therefore published different capacities across the two announcement versions. Capacity alone does not show how long the handheld lasts in games, and no independently measured runtime is established.

AYANEO’s later official release announced a starting price of US$1,799 for the Polar Black Edition and said shipments were scheduled to begin in June 2026. The stated month has passed, but that schedule is not confirmation that shipments occurred. The announcement does not establish the current price, present stock, or actual shipping status. It named the AYANEO Store and Indiegogo as ordering routes.
What remains unconfirmed?
The published announcements provide specifications and a planned schedule, not an independent review. They do not establish game frame rates, real-world battery life, sustained performance, weight, comparative results against other handhelds, warranty details or current availability. Buyers should verify the exact configuration and live ordering status with AYANEO before relying on the announced price or schedule.
