The AVITA ADMIROR is a slim, design-focused Windows notebook with a good keyboard, fingerprint reader and vivid Full HD display. Its main compromises are short battery life in independent tests and just two built-in USB-C ports, which make the included adapter important. The reviews and prices available for this model date to 2020, so they cannot establish its current availability or value in 2026.

What the AVITA ADMIROR offers

AVITA sold the ADMIROR in 14-inch and 15.6-inch sizes, with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U or Ryzen 7 3700U processors, 8GB of DDR4 memory, and either 256GB or 512GB of SSD storage. Both sizes use 1920×1080 IPS displays and integrated Radeon Vega graphics. Listed features include a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader. AVITA’s Ireland specifications give starting weights of 1.32kg for the 14-inch model and 1.79kg for the 15.6-inch model, and describe a magnesium-aluminium chassis. AVITA Ireland specifications

The ADMIROR’s appeal is as much visual as practical: AVITA emphasized its architecture-inspired design, narrow bezels and full-size backlit keyboard. TechRadar praised the distinctive styling, keyboard and fingerprint scanner; Tech Advisor also rated the design highly and praised the display and keyboard. TechRadar’s review Tech Advisor’s review

How long does the battery last?

AVITA advertised up to 10 hours of battery life, while its Hong Kong page specified up to 9 hours for the 15.6-inch model. Those are manufacturer estimates, not independent test results. The two published reviews found substantially shorter runtimes:

Source and test Reported runtime
TechRadar, 2020: PCMark 10 Battery Life test on its review unit 4 hours 12 minutes
TechRadar, 2020: looped video test on its review unit 6 hours 17 minutes
Tech Advisor, 2020: film-loop test on its reviewed 14-inch model Just under five hours

The figures come from different test methods and review units, so they are not directly interchangeable or a guarantee for every ADMIROR configuration. They do indicate that a buyer relying on the laptop away from a power outlet should not plan around AVITA’s maximum claim. Both reviewers flagged battery life as a weakness. Ports, dongle and charging

The ADMIROR has two built-in USB-C ports rather than a broad selection of conventional connections. AVITA says the box includes a USB-C adapter providing USB, HDMI and 3.5mm audio, plus a USB-C-to-3.5mm cable. Its specifications say both USB-C ports support charging and identify Power Delivery charging and display output. AVITA Ireland specifications

In practice, the supplied adapter is part of the ownership experience: without it, ordinary USB-A peripherals, HDMI displays and wired headphones may not connect directly. TechRadar criticized the limited built-in ports, while Tech Advisor warned about dongle dependence. If you travel with the ADMIROR, keep the adapter with the laptop; a lost or damaged one leaves only the two USB-C ports. A replacement adapter should be checked for the connections you need rather than assumed to be an official AVITA replacement.

How well does it perform?

TechRadar’s 2020 review unit had a Ryzen 7 3700U, 8GB of DDR4 memory, a 512GB NVMe SSD, and integrated Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. Its published benchmark results were:

Benchmark TechRadar result, 2020 review unit
3DMark Night Raid 5,348
3DMark Fire Strike 1,719
3DMark Time Spy 610
Cinebench R23 single-core 650
Cinebench R23 multi-core 1,162
Geekbench single-core 681
Geekbench multi-core 2,096
PCMark 10 Home 3,219

These are historical results from one configuration, not predictions for every ADMIROR. They provide context for the reviewed Ryzen 7 model, but do not establish how a specific unit will perform today or make it a strong choice for demanding creative work or gaming. The integrated graphics and the reviewed model’s 8GB of memory are reasons to compare workload-specific requirements before buying. TechRadar’s review

Display and portability

The 14-inch model reviewed by Tech Advisor measured 349 nits of brightness, and the publication praised its display. That measurement belongs to its review unit and is not a stated result for every screen size or configuration. Both sizes are specified at Full HD resolution; the larger model’s listed starting weight is 1.79kg, compared with 1.32kg for the 14-inch. For travel, the smaller model is the more portable of the two by listed weight, but battery endurance and carrying the adapter also matter. Tech Advisor’s review AVITA Ireland specifications

Is the AVITA ADMIROR worth buying?

It may suit someone who values distinctive design, a backlit keyboard, fingerprint login and a Full HD IPS screen for everyday work—and who is comfortable carrying an adapter. It is a less convincing choice for frequent travel without access to charging, or for anyone who needs several built-in ports. TechRadar’s 2020 price context was $999 in the US and £799 in the UK; Tech Advisor also situated it against notebooks such as the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex, Huawei MateBook and HP Envy. Those historical comparisons and prices do not establish what the ADMIROR costs, whether it is in stock, or what alternatives are available in 2026. Check current price, warranty, support and return terms before considering a used or remaining-stock unit. TechRadar’s review Tech Advisor’s review
