Its manufacturer lists operation from 1°C to 40°C and recommends it for spaces up to 50 m², but its headline 10 L/day extraction rating is specified at 20°C and 60% relative humidity—not across the full temperature range. The 3 L tank, meanwhile, is modest relative to that daily rating, so continuous drainage or regular emptying matters during extended use.
What the AU1910DD is—and what its ratings mean
Ausclimate identifies the AU1910DD (also styled AU-1910DD) as the Cool-Seasons Premium 10L desiccant dehumidifier. The company describes it as designed for cold climates; its specification sheet identifies the desiccant material as zeolite. Ausclimate rates moisture removal at 10 litres per day at 20°C and 60% relative humidity. Treat this as a result tied to those stated conditions, not a promise of 10 litres every day in a colder, warmer, drier, or more humid room. The manufacturer lists a broad operating range of 1°C to 40°C, but that range does not establish constant extraction throughout it or provide a separate low-temperature capacity figure.

These are manufacturer recommendations, not independently verified limits or guarantees that the appliance will control humidity equally well in every space of that size; room temperature, moisture load, layout, and air movement also matter.

Is it suitable for a cold room?
Its stated 1°C lower operating limit makes the AU1910DD a candidate for cooler spaces where a dehumidifier with a narrower stated temperature range may not be suitable. The available specifications do not show how much water it removes at 1°C, however, so buyers should not infer that it will deliver its 10 L/day rating at that temperature. For a cold room, the key distinction is between being listed to operate at a temperature and having a measured extraction rate there.
For laundry drying, the manufacturer lists a laundry mode. A desiccant model may be worth considering when the room is cool, but the published rating alone cannot predict drying time or results for a particular load. Keep the room and appliance setup aligned with the manual’s safety and operating instructions.

Water handling: tank, shutoff, and drain
The unit has a 3 L water tank, automatic shutoff when full, and provision for continuous drainage. The older specification sheet says a 1.2 m drain hose is included. Since the tank is much smaller than the rated 10 litres removed over a day at 20°C and 60% RH, long operating periods can require emptying the tank more than once or using continuous drainage. The actual interval depends on how much moisture the appliance extracts in the room.

- Continuous drainage: supported; the 1.2 m hose is stated in the older specification sheet.
- Practical choice: use the tank where you can check and empty it, or drainage where the hose can be routed safely to a suitable drain.

Power, noise, and size
The specification sheet lists two power settings: 420 W on low and 730 W on high. Ausclimate’s current product page lists 730 W. The sheet also specifies noise at 38 dBA on low and 49 dBA on high, while the current page gives 49 dB. These figures are stated specifications, not a comparative noise test. Actual electricity cost depends on the applicable tariff, setting, and runtime; the published wattage alone is not enough to calculate a typical bill.
The current product page gives dimensions of 320 × 220 × 500 mm. The 2022 sheet lists 317 × 213 × 499 mm, a small discrepancy that may reflect rounding or a revision; use the current listing for planning space and confirm dimensions if a tight fit matters.

Who should consider it?
The AU1910DD is most relevant if you want a desiccant unit with a manufacturer-listed 1°C–40°C operating range, need the option of continuous drainage, or expect to use a dehumidifier in a cool room. Its stated 50 m² recommendation may also help with initial sizing, provided it is understood as guidance rather than a guaranteed coverage result.
Before choosing it, weigh the limited 3 L tank against your willingness to empty it or arrange drainage, check whether the power and noise figures fit your use, and look for extraction data measured at temperatures and humidity levels close to your room conditions. When comparing it with another model, use like-for-like removal conditions and also compare operating-temperature range, tank and drainage, noise by setting, power, warranty, parts access, price, and stock. No specific competing model or head-to-head test is established here.
