The Aurzen EAZZE D1 MAX is worth considering only if you watch mostly in a dark room, want Google TV built in, and value automatic setup more than picture quality. It is a native 1080p LCD projector with an entry-level image. It is a poor choice for bright rooms, for buyers who care most about contrast and color, and for anyone who plays fast-reaction games.
What the D1 MAX is and what Aurzen claims
The D1 MAX is a convenience-first smart projector. Its main selling points are the built-in Google TV platform and automated setup features that adjust focus, keystone and screen alignment for you. The table below separates the maker’s published specifications from the independent findings covered later in this article.

These are manufacturer figures unless a row says otherwise. The 1000 ANSI lumen rating and 2000:1 contrast ratio are the maker’s numbers, not measurements from an independent lab.

No. The projector accepts a 4K signal over HDMI, but Aurzen states that 4K input is displayed at the panel’s native 1080p. You can play 4K content on it and it will work, but the picture you see is 1080p. If sharp 4K detail is the reason you are buying, this projector will not deliver it.

Brightness and room lighting
Room light is the single biggest factor in whether this projector will satisfy you. The independent review by RTINGS, which bought the unit and published its findings on September 23, 2026, says the image is usable in a dark room. It does not handle ambient glare well, so it is not a good choice for a living room with daylight or lamps on.
Brightness is also uneven across the screen. The review found darker edges that become more noticeable as the image gets larger. That means the 200-inch maximum size is the setting where this flaw is most visible. A smaller image, such as 100 inches, will hide it better, though the review does not give a specific size at which the problem disappears.
The 1000 ANSI lumen rating is Aurzen’s own figure. The company’s launch announcement says it is SGS-certified. Certification of the rating does not tell you how it will look in your room, so judge the brightness by the independent findings above.

Contrast, color and calibration
RTINGS found contrast to be disappointing and color range to be limited. It also found a blue tint that was hard to correct, even after calibration. For movies with dark scenes, the image will look flatter than on a higher-contrast projector or a television. For everyday streaming and sports, many viewers will find the picture acceptable, but it is not a projector for demanding image work.
Setup: automatic focus, keystone and Google TV
The setup features are the D1 MAX’s strongest point. Aurzen lists automatic focus, automatic keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, screen alignment and digital scaling. RTINGS describes these features as helpful for setup, and that matches the product’s positioning for people who do not want to fine-tune a projector.
Placement still matters
The projector has no lens shift. You cannot move the image up or down with a lens dial, so the unit should sit centered on the screen. If it is off-center, the review says sharpness can suffer. The automatic keystone correction handles the trapezoid shape, but it does not replace correct physical placement.

Google TV and streaming apps
The projector runs Google TV 14.0 and Aurzen says it supports streaming services and casting. App availability and platform features can differ by country and change over time, so check that the apps you use are available in your region before you buy. Aurzen’s product page states that Gemini for TV is available only in the United States.
Gaming and responsiveness
The D1 MAX is not a good gaming projector. RTINGS reports a 60 Hz refresh-rate limit, high input lag and motion blur that comes from the LCD imaging. The review advises against reaction-based gaming, such as shooters and fighting games, on this model.
Aurzen markets motion interpolation (MEMC) as a smoothness feature. Smoother motion on screen is not the same as faster response, and the measured input lag is what determines how the game will feel under your controller. Treat the marketing as a claim, not evidence of gaming performance.

Installation: ceiling mounts, batteries and tripods
- Battery: The D1 MAX has no built-in battery. It must stay plugged into a power outlet.
- Ceiling mounting: Aurzen says a ceiling mount must be compatible with the projector and attach with four M5 screws. The screws are not included.
- Tripod: The projector has no standard 1/4-inch tripod mount hole. A tabletop or shelf setup needs a stand or a flat surface.
Before buying a third-party mount, check its dimensions and attachment pattern against the projector’s body. The evidence available here does not confirm any specific mount as compatible.

Aurzen announced the D1 MAX on November 11, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $499.99 USD and availability through Amazon.com. That is the launch price. Prices and promotions change, so check the current listing before you buy. Availability may also differ outside the United States.
Who should buy it and who should skip it
Buy it if:
- You will watch in a dark room, mostly movies, shows or sports.
- Built-in Google TV and automatic setup matter more to you than picture quality.
- You accept native 1080p and an entry-level image.
- You will keep the projector plugged in and place it centered on the screen.
Skip it if:
- You want to watch in a bright room or with daylight.
- You care most about contrast, color accuracy or a 4K-quality picture.
- You play reaction-based games.
- You need a projector that runs on battery or that mounts on a standard tripod.
This verdict combines Aurzen’s specifications with the independent review. It is an editorial judgment, not a lab result.
