The ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371 is a compact 360-degree convertible whose headline feature is a 13.3-inch 4K OLED touchscreen. In the documented higher-end UX371EA configuration, it pairs that display with an 11th-generation Core i7-1165G7, Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB of onboard memory and a 1 TB SSD. It is an appealing screen-first design, but configuration differences matter: the 15-hour battery claim often associated with this generation belongs to a different, 1080p model, and ASUS says accessories vary by territory.
What is the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371?
UX371 is the model family; UX371EA identifies a particular model designation, not a promise that every unit sold worldwide has identical components or bundle contents. ASUS’s Egypt-region specification describes a higher-end UX371EA configuration, while its Q4 2020 guide names the UX371EA-HL003TS configuration. Retailer SKU, region and condition still matter when comparing listings.
The UX371 is a 2020-era premium convertible: its hinge allows the display to fold through 360 degrees, so it can be used as a laptop or in tablet-style positions. ASUS’s 2020 launch announcement placed it among the company’s 11th-generation Intel Core systems. That historical context explains its Tiger Lake platform; it is not a current-generation laptop.
How good is the 4K OLED screen?
For the regional UX371EA configuration on ASUS’s specification page, the display is a 13.3-inch, 3840 × 2160 OLED touchscreen with a 60 Hz refresh rate, a listed 550-nit HDR peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. ASUS also lists stylus support. These specifications make the panel the laptop’s defining feature for readers who value detailed, high-gamut visuals in a small convertible. The trade-off to keep in mind is that the 4K OLED is not interchangeable with lower-resolution configurations when judging battery endurance. A listing that merely says “ZenBook Flip” or “UX371” is not enough to establish which display it has; confirm resolution and panel details on the seller’s exact SKU.
What performance and configuration does UX371EA offer?
In ASUS’s published Egypt-region UX371EA specification, the processor is an Intel Core i7-1165G7 with a 2.8 GHz base frequency, boost up to 4.7 GHz and four cores. Graphics are integrated Intel Iris Xe. The same listing specifies 16 GB onboard LPDDR4X memory and a 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. ASUS’s Q4 2020 guide separately identifies UX371EA-HL003TS with the Core i7-1165G7, 4K UHD OLED and 16 GB LPDDR4X. At launch, Tiger Lake and Iris Xe made the UX371 part of Intel’s new 11th-generation laptop wave. Tom’s Hardware described it as among the first laptops its staff tested with that CPU generation and graphics. How long does the battery last?
Do not use ASUS’s up-to-15-hour figure as an expected runtime for the 4K OLED UX371. Notebookcheck explicitly notes that the claim applied to the UX363, a different model with a more efficient 1080p screen, rather than the 4K OLED UX371. The cited review does not provide a comparable UX371 runtime figure in the material available here, so it would be misleading to substitute the UX363 result. Does the ZenBook Flip S UX371 come with a pen?
ASUS documents stylus support for the UX371EA and specifically references ASUS Pen SA201H-MPP2.0. ASUS’s 2020 announcement states that the supported ASUS Pen has 4,096 pressure levels. Support does not mean the pen is included in every box: ASUS says included accessories vary by country and territory. Which ports does the UX371 have?
ASUS’s regional UX371EA specification lists two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports with display and power-delivery support, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and HDMI 1.4. ASUS states data speeds of up to 40 Gbps for Thunderbolt 4. A USB-C or Thunderbolt dock may help if your setup needs several legacy connections, but the listed ports do not make any particular dock a required or tested accessory. Size, weight and practical trade-offs
For the same published regional configuration, ASUS lists a weight of 1.20 kg and dimensions of 30.50 × 21.10 × 1.19–1.39 cm. Those figures suit the product’s compact, portable positioning. A high-resolution OLED panel is the main attraction, while its power demands make it especially important not to transfer battery claims from the lower-resolution UX363. It can make sense if you specifically want a compact 360-degree convertible with a 4K OLED touchscreen and find a well-described UX371EA configuration at a suitable price. Its strengths are the screen, flexible hinge, documented pen support and the i7/Iris Xe configuration ASUS published. The case is less clear if your top priority is long battery life, the newest platform, or a purchase with predictable accessories: the cited material does not establish a comparable UX371 battery-runtime result, current pricing or stock, or a universal pen bundle.
Before choosing a new, refurbished or used unit, compare the actual listing rather than relying on the family name:
- Verify the complete model/SKU, screen resolution and panel type.
- Confirm processor, memory and storage for that specific unit.
- Ask whether the ASUS Pen is included, and check its model if pen use matters.
- Inspect battery health and warranty terms for a used or refurbished laptop; those vary by seller and region.
- Check that the two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, USB-A and HDMI 1.4 cover your peripherals, or budget for an appropriate adapter or dock.
For manuals, drivers, FAQs, warranty information and service-location pathways, use the ASUS UX371 support portal. Its manual page lists language versions dated 2020-07-24, including English version E16119. Warranty coverage, service access and parts availability depend on region and date.
