Based on storage tests, the 5400 RPM slows down the speed of the laptop. It loaded games slowly and it also booted up Windows, slower than SSD performance.

Furthermore, it plays most AAA title games in 1080p at either high or medium graphics settings depending on the game. Only in very few AAA games would you need to reduce the graphics settings.
At high settings, it ran StarCraft2 (113.6 FPS), GTA V at 48.3 FPS, The Witcher 3 at 35.9 FPS, Battlefield V at 45.3 FPS, and Apex Legends at 37.5 FPS.
However, AAA games like Metro Exodus ran at 27.8 FPS, and Mafia 3 at 34.4 FPS. These last 2 games needed to be played at low settings.
Nevertheless, the ASUS TUF Gaming FX705 put up a very good GPU performance. Therefore, I rate its graphics card a nine in this review for its very good graphics card performance.

The laptop’s battery life is very decent for a gaming laptop. It performed well in various battery tests.
The ASUS TUF Gaming FX705 delivered up to 5 hours with browsing operations. However, the battery life reduces with heavy computing operations such as gaming or video editing.
It can only last for about 2 hours 30 minutes with heavy operations.
