The ASUS TUF GAMING B850I WIFI NEO is a compact AM5 motherboard built around AMD’s B850 chipset, DDR5 memory and Mini-ITX dimensions. Its published feature set includes two M.2 slots, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5Gb Ethernet and USB-C support at the rear and front. Those specifications make it a plausible starting point for a small Ryzen build, but they do not establish real-world performance: the available coverage does not provide verified benchmark, temperature, noise or stability testing.

ASUS lists the board as an AMD B850 Mini-ITX model for the AM5 platform. Its published specifications are most useful for deciding whether the layout and connectivity suit your build; they are not evidence of measured performance.

Will it work with your Ryzen CPU and memory?
The board uses AM5 and DDR5. SFF.Network’s launch coverage identifies support for Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series, but that broad family-level description is not a substitute for checking an exact processor against ASUS’s current CPU support list and the BIOS requirements for that CPU. Memory capacity and speed
Kakaku.com lists two DDR5 slots and capacity up to 128GB. SFF.Network reported support for memory speeds up to DDR5-8200 depending on the processor. Treat that speed as a conditional memory-overclocking figure, not a guaranteed operating speed for every CPU, RAM kit or configuration. Check ASUS’s current memory support list for the exact kit and follow the manual’s recommended slot configuration.
Check the documentation before buying
ASUS’s US support page lists an English user manual dated 2026-08-07 and a multi-language quick start guide dated 2026-04-08. Confirm the CPU and memory support lists, BIOS requirements, headers and installation details there before ordering components. ASUS manuals and support.

Does it fit a Mini-ITX build?
Kakaku.com lists the board at 170 × 170 mm, the standard Mini-ITX footprint. That establishes the motherboard’s size, not compatibility with every case. Check the case specifications and plan for the rest of the build before committing:

- Check graphics-card length, thickness and slot clearance against the case and any planned radiator or fans.
- Verify CPU-cooler height or radiator support, as well as clearance around the memory and power connectors.
- Confirm the PSU format and available cable reach; tight layouts can make connector access and cable routing significant.
- Plan airflow around the CPU, GPU and storage rather than assuming a compact case will accommodate any cooling arrangement.
The available specifications do not establish fit in any particular case. Consult both the case manual and the ASUS board manual for clearances and connector placement.

Are two M.2 slots enough for your storage plan?
ASUS lists two M.2 slots, giving builders two onboard M.2 positions for compatible drives. The product listing establishes the slot count but does not, in the information available here, specify every slot’s lane sharing, physical length or exact generation. Check the board manual for those details before choosing drives. Kakaku.com also lists two SATA ports, which may matter if you plan to reuse or add SATA storage.
What is not established about performance?
The available material is a specification listing and launch or market coverage, not a hands-on review. It does not provide verified benchmarks, temperatures, fan noise, stability results, or conclusions about BIOS quality. The 8+2+1 80A power-stage figure is a published specification; it cannot alone establish performance with a specific processor or cooling setup.

Kakaku.com’s listing showed no user reviews when accessed on 2026-10-07. SFF.Network’s article, dated 2026-04-14, covers the launch and feature set rather than measured performance. Buyers who need evidence about sustained workloads, thermals or acoustics should look for testing that identifies its CPU, memory configuration, BIOS version, measurement method and repeatability.
How should you compare it with another AM5 Mini-ITX board?
Compare boards against the needs of your actual build rather than relying on chipset or branding alone. For this model, ASUS publishes Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5Gb Ethernet, two M.2 slots and the USB-C capabilities described above. Check competing boards on the same practical points:
