The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is a compact, wired gaming keyboard built around adjustable Hall-effect switches and Rapid Trigger. Its standout appeal is the combination of fine actuation tuning and physical onboard controls; its clearest compromise is that it has no wireless mode. It is worth considering if you want a 75% layout and expect to use those gaming adjustments, but its premium price positioning makes current local pricing and competing options important to check.
What the Falchion Ace 75 HE offers
ASUS describes the Falchion Ace 75 HE as a 75% keyboard: it keeps a compact footprint while providing a roomier layout than the earlier Falchion Ace HFX. It connects by wire only. The US product page lists hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 and V2X magnetic switches, a ROG Hall Sensor, Rapid Trigger, an adjustment wheel, an interactive touch panel, 8000 Hz polling, six-layer dampening, three tilt angles, doubleshot PBT keycaps, and a protective carry case. ASUS’s product specifications are the basis for those feature claims.
The switches use Hall-effect sensing rather than relying on a conventional electrical contact to register a keypress. That design enables adjustable actuation and reset behavior, including Rapid Trigger, which can reset a key as soon as it moves back upward rather than waiting for a fixed reset point. Those settings matter most to players who want to tune repeated inputs; they are not necessary for every game or typing setup.

PC Gamer’s review, published March 24, 2026, reports that the HFX V2 switch has 3.5 mm of travel and a 32 g actuation force, compared with 4 mm and 40 g for the earlier HFX V1. It also reports that actuation and reset points can be adjusted in 0.01 mm increments. These are specifications reported by that review, not independently verified laboratory measurements. PC Gamer’s review describes the keyboard as excellent while noting that less expensive competition weakens its value.
#1 Best Overall
- Hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switches: Enjoy refined keystrokes with customizable 0.1–3.5mm actuation and precise 0.01mm-step fine-tuning
- New ROG Hall Sensor: Delivers exceptional precision and accurate input detection, reduces electrical noise and interference, and increases magnetic flux limits for superior performance
- Intuitive Control: Onboard adjustment wheel to fine-tune actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity; plus interactive touch panel for media playback, tweak volume and other settings.
- Protective Keyboard Carry Case: Keeps the keyboard and essential accessories secure and travel-ready.
- Rapid Trigger toggle: Convenient switch for the fastest typing response and key repeat
Rapid Trigger and adjustable reset points can help in games where rapid, repeated key presses are useful. The benefit depends on the game, the player’s settings, and whether the player can take advantage of the behavior. An 8000 Hz polling specification is not, by itself, proof of a perceptible advantage in play; the cited sources establish the rate, not a quantified improvement for users.
Onboard controls and configuration
The physical wheel and touch panel are intended to let users make adjustments without relying entirely on software. ASUS’s Singapore store listing says the wheel can fine-tune actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity, while the touch panel can control media playback, volume, and settings. Those control descriptions come from that regional listing; bundled configurations and details may vary by market. ASUS Singapore’s listing also describes the carry case as a way to transport the keyboard and essential accessories.

Tom’s Hardware’s hands-on report, dated January 6, 2026, describes web-based configuration, RGB lighting, a rear touch bar, and a small adjustment wheel alongside the magnetic switches, Rapid Trigger, and 8K polling. That mix may suit someone who values direct physical adjustments, although the report identifies the absence of wireless operation as a major limitation. Read Tom’s Hardware’s hands-on report.

ASUS says its ROG HE platform uses a socket for hot-swappable magnetic switches shared among supported ROG HE keyboards, with future upgrades intended to use the same socket. That is a platform-specific compatibility claim, not a promise that arbitrary third-party magnetic switches will fit or work. Check that a replacement is explicitly supported by the ROG HE platform before buying. The cited material does not establish whether replacement switches are currently sold separately.

Who should consider it—and who should skip it
- Consider it if you want a compact 75% wired board and expect to use adjustable actuation, reset tuning, or Rapid Trigger.
- Consider it if a physical wheel and touch controls are more useful to you than relying only on software configuration.
- Look elsewhere if wireless operation is essential, or if you would not use the adjustable-switch features enough to justify premium pricing.
- Compare carefully with other keyboards on wired versus wireless use, desk footprint, switch adjustment and replacement compatibility, configuration controls, current price, and included accessories.
PC Gamer’s March 24, 2026 review gave a £220/$220 price snapshot, but that is dated and should not be treated as today’s price. Check the price, stock, regional layout, and included switch variant with the retailer serving your market before ordering.

The Falchion Ace 75 HE has a focused proposition: a compact wired layout, ROG Hall-effect switch tuning, Rapid Trigger, and onboard controls. Those features make it a plausible premium choice for players who will actively tune their keyboard. If you mainly want a reliable keyboard for general gaming and typing, or you need wireless use, its specialized features may not offset the wired-only design and premium positioning.
