ASUS’s ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is a wired, compact gaming keyboard with adjustable magnetic switches and an ASUS-rated 8000 Hz polling rate. Its standout features are fine-grained actuation adjustment and physical controls; the main trade-offs are its wired-only connection, limited magnetic-switch compatibility, and a touch control that one CES hands-on reviewer found awkward to reach.

What the Falchion Ace 75 HE offers

The keyboard uses a 75% layout: it retains the function row and arrow keys in a smaller footprint than a full-size keyboard. ASUS’s CES 2026 announcement lists hot-swappable ROG HFX V2/V2X magnetic switches, adjustable actuation, an adjustment wheel, an interactive touch panel, six-layer dampening, Doubleshot PBT keycaps, and a protective carry case. ASUS’s product page and CES announcement describe the feature set.

For the regional ASUS specification, it has 83/84 keys, per-key RGB, N-key rollover, a detachable braided USB-A-to-USB-C cable, and Windows 11 support. It measures 320 × 145 × 35 mm and weighs 870 g without the cable. ASUS lists Gear Link software and five customizable profiles plus one standard profile. These specifications and package details are regional; check the local SKU before assuming every market’s version or box contents are identical. ASUS’s regional specification page lists a protective bag and keycap puller among the contents.

Can you change its actuation point?

Yes. ASUS specifies an actuation range of 0.1 to 3.5 mm, adjustable in 0.01 mm increments. That lets you choose how far a key must travel before it registers, rather than being limited to one fixed actuation point. The keyboard also supports Rapid Trigger, which ASUS describes as a switch feature, and offers direct adjustments through its wheel, Rapid Trigger toggle, and touch panel.

ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE Wired Analog/Hall Effect Gaming Keyboard
  • Hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switches: Enjoy refined keystrokes with customizable 0.1–3.5mm actuation and precise 0.01mm-step fine-tuning
  • New ROG Hall Sensor: Delivers exceptional precision and accurate input detection, reduces electrical noise and interference, and increases magnetic flux limits for superior performance
  • Intuitive Control: Onboard adjustment wheel to fine-tune actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity; plus interactive touch panel for media playback, tweak volume and other settings.
  • Protective Keyboard Carry Case: Keeps the keyboard and essential accessories secure and travel-ready.
  • Rapid Trigger toggle: Convenient switch for the fastest typing response and key repeat

The switches are hot-swappable, but that does not mean the board accepts magnetic switches universally. ASUS says its ROG design positions magnets at the sides of the switches; other magnetic switches that use a central magnet are incompatible. Confirm that a replacement belongs to the supported ROG HFX V2/V2X family before buying it. ASUS’s FAQ and product information explain the compatibility restriction.

What does 8000 Hz polling mean?

ASUS rates the keyboard’s polling at 8000 Hz. In ASUS’s explanation, that corresponds to a theoretical interval of 0.125 ms between requests from the computer for keyboard data. It is not a claim that a keypress travels from the switch to the game in 0.125 ms: total end-to-end delay is also affected by switch travel and device processing. The figure describes the polling interval, not a guaranteed total input-latency measurement. ASUS’s product FAQ states both the theoretical interval and its qualifications.

What are the practical trade-offs?

Wired connection only

The Falchion Ace 75 HE connects by USB; it does not offer wireless freedom. PC Gamer describes it as entirely wired. If a clean desk without a cable or the option to move between devices wirelessly matters more than a wired setup, include wireless boards in your comparison.

Controls are not equally convenient

The wheel and dedicated Rapid Trigger toggle provide physical controls for adjustments. The touch panel adds another way to interact with settings, but Tom’s Hardware’s brief CES 2026 hands-on found the rear touch control awkward to reach and not especially intuitive. That is an attributed early hands-on impression, not the result of an extended test. Tom’s Hardware’s CES hands-on also notes the limited pool of compatible magnetic switches.

Price and availability depend on market and date

In a February 3, 2026 announcement, ASUS Computer GmbH said the keyboard was available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for EUR/CHF 239.90 including VAT. That is a dated, market-specific recommended price, not a universal or verified current price. The same announcement said the white version would follow in Q2 but did not specify a year for that timing. ASUS Computer GmbH’s pressroom announcement provides the regional details.

Launch-era North American pricing is reported separately: Tom’s Hardware said ASUS planned black and white versions at $219 through Best Buy starting in January in the CES 2026 launch context. PC Gamer lists £220/$220 in its review-era coverage. These figures refer to different markets and contexts; check local retailers for current price, color, stock, and exact SKU rather than treating them as one worldwide price. Tom’s Hardware and PC Gamer’s review provide those launch and review-era references.

How to compare it with other gaming keyboards

The most useful comparison is not polling rate alone. Match the keyboard to the layout and connection you want, the feel and adjustability of its switches, and how you prefer to change settings.

  • Layout: Decide whether the Falchion’s 75% size suits your desk and key needs, or whether a larger or smaller layout would be more comfortable.
  • Connection: Compare its wired-only USB connection with wireless options such as the Keychron K2 HE mentioned by PC Gamer.
  • Switches: Check the adjustable range and exact magnetic-switch compatibility. Do not assume that a hot-swappable Hall-effect board accepts every magnetic switch.
  • Controls and ergonomics: Consider whether physical controls matter to you and whether a rear touch panel is easy to reach in your setup.
  • Size and switch style: PC Gamer also points to the larger Keychron Q5 HE and low-profile NuPhy Air60 HE as alternatives to consider; they serve different layout and switch preferences rather than forming a simple ranking.
  • Local value: Compare current local prices and availability for the exact configuration you would buy.

PC Gamer’s comparison examples and Tom’s Hardware’s hands-on observations are useful context, not a definitive ranking or a substitute for checking current models and prices.
