ASUS’s ProArt P16 (H7607BA) and ProArt P14 (H7407BA) pair an RTX Spark platform with 120Hz Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens. The 16-inch P16 offers a 4K panel and higher listed storage ceiling; the lighter 14-inch P14 has a 3K panel and lower US starting price. ASUS announced the creator-focused laptops with specifications and preorder details in October 2026, but its advertised workload figures are claims—not independent performance tests.

What are the ProArt P16 and P14?

They are ASUS creator laptops built around what the company calls RTX Spark, a platform combining a Blackwell RTX GPU and Grace CPU. ASUS positions the systems for creators, AI developers, and workflow builders who want to run demanding work locally. That is the manufacturer’s intended-use description, not an independent assessment of how the laptops perform.

ASUS’s September 2, 2026 IFA announcement introduced the positioning, while its October 7, 2026 specification release gave the detailed configurations, US prices, and preorder timeline. The P16 is model H7607BA; the P14 is H7407BA.

How do the P16 and P14 differ?

The main distinction is size: the P16 has a larger, higher-resolution display and higher maximum listed storage, while the P14 weighs less and has a lower starting MSRP. ASUS lists the following specifications; actual panels and configurations may vary by SKU and market.

Both models are listed with the same maximum memory capacity. The P16’s larger screen, higher storage ceiling, and 0.64 lb additional listed weight make it the more screen- and capacity-oriented option on paper; the P14 is the lighter choice. The specification sheet does not establish that either model is faster than the other.

What does ASUS claim about the OLED displays?

ASUS lists both touchscreens at 120Hz and up to 1,600 nits HDR peak brightness. It also says the panels have Delta E below 1, a color-accuracy claim that should be understood as ASUS’s specification rather than an independent measurement. ASUS describes the P16 display as supporting variable refresh rate and having an anti-reflection coating; the cited specification does not make the same two claims for the P14.

The resolutions differ as well: ASUS specifies 4K for the P16 and 3K for the P14. Those labels indicate the published panel class, but the release does not provide exact pixel dimensions or establish that every regional SKU will use an identical panel.

What is RTX Spark, and what workloads does ASUS advertise?

ASUS describes RTX Spark as combining a Blackwell RTX GPU with a Grace CPU. For the P16, its product page advertises up to 1 petaflop FP4 AI performance, up to 6,144 Blackwell GPU cores, and a Grace CPU with up to 20 cores. These are platform maximums in ASUS’s product claims, not independent benchmark results.

ASUS also says the P16 can support local workloads including LLMs of up to 120 billion parameters with a 1-million-token context window, 90GB-plus 3D scenes, 12K video editing, and 4K AI video generation. The company’s FAQ describes the system as designed for “AI-powered creators, workflow builders, and developers who demand powerful local AI capabilities and advanced content creation workflows.” Those examples communicate the intended use; the available specifications do not independently verify performance, workflow times, or results.

When do the laptops go on sale, and how much do they cost?

ASUS’s October 7, 2026 specification release lists US starting MSRPs of $2,799.99 for the P16 and $2,599.99 for the P14. It says preorders begin October 7, 2026, with the first US units arriving October 16, and names ASUS eShop and Best Buy for select configurations. These are the release’s stated US timing and channels; current stock, configuration, and retailer pricing may differ.

There is a date discrepancy in ASUS’s public materials: a current Pressroom rendering for the global preorder page shows “October 8, 2027,” while the October 2026 specification release gives the preorder and arrival timeline above. The conflicting Pressroom date is not reconciled by the available information, so the October 2026 schedule should be treated specifically as the date stated in the specification release, not as confirmation of present availability.

Which model makes more sense?

Based on ASUS’s published specifications alone, the P16 is the clearer fit if a larger 4K screen and up to 2TB of listed SSD capacity matter more than weight and price. The P14 is the more portable option by listed weight and costs $200 less at the stated US starting MSRP, while retaining the same listed memory ceiling and a 120Hz OLED touchscreen. Neither specification set establishes a performance advantage; choosing between them should depend on screen size, portability, storage needs, and the exact configuration offered in the buyer’s region.
