The ASUS ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3 puts NVIDIA’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra platform in a deskside tower, pairing 748GB of coherent memory with a 1,600W Titanium-rated power supply and an unusual fan aimed at its high-speed networking optics. StorageReview’s hands-on review found thoughtful details for a stationary AI system, but its handles do not make a 27kg workstation portable—and published performance figures vary too much by model and workload to reduce to one speed rating.
What the ET900N G3 is—and who it suits
The ET900N G3 is ASUS’s deskside implementation of NVIDIA’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra platform on DGX Station architecture. It is designed for local AI development and inference, where a large shared memory pool and high-speed networking can matter more than the flexibility of a conventional desktop workstation.
Its defining feature is 748GB of coherent memory: ASUS lists a 72-core Grace CPU alongside Blackwell Ultra graphics, with memory shared across the platform. That makes the system relevant for teams working with large models locally, although actual model fit and serving speed depend on the model, precision, software, and workload—not memory capacity alone. ASUS advertises up to 20 PFLOPS of AI performance; StorageReview identifies that peak figure as NVFP4 with sparsity, a manufacturer specification rather than a result independently established across workloads.

Chassis and handles: easier to move, not portable
StorageReview describes a brushed-silver chassis with a dark mesh front and two handles on top. Those handles make sense for positioning the tower or moving it during service, but the reviewed system weighs 27kg net. Treat them as practical lifting points, not as a promise that this is a portable workstation. Check the intended desk or floor location, access route, and electrical supply before installation.
The review unit also contained an RTX PRO 2000 card. That is an observation about the tested configuration, not confirmation that the card is included with every ET900N G3.

Why the optics get their own cooling fan
The cooling detail that distinguishes this chassis is a small fan directed at the ConnectX-8 QSFP112 cages. The liquid loop’s cold plate cools the network controller silicon; the optical transceivers seated in the cages can create heat of their own. Directing airflow across the cages addresses that separate heat source, which is most relevant when the system uses fiber transceivers for sustained high-speed networking.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsStorageReview notes that the optics fan matters less when using direct-attach copper (DAC) cables. That makes cabling choice part of the thermal picture: fiber deployments are the clearer use case for the extra airflow, while DAC connections reduce the relevance of cooling the optical modules. ASUS lists 400G transceivers as optional; confirm the exact transceiver and cable compatibility for the intended deployment rather than assuming accessories are included.

StorageReview observed copper cold plates on the GB300, SOCAMM modules, and ConnectX-8, with tubing to front and top radiators and a rear chassis fan. ASUS says its closed-loop AIO supports sustained full-load operation without thermal throttling. The hands-on review describes the cooling design, but does not establish a blanket no-throttling guarantee across every room temperature, workload, or installation.
Power supply: what Titanium does and does not tell you
The 1,600W Titanium ATX supply is appropriate to a platform built around high-power AI compute, but the Titanium label is a certification descriptor—not proof of a particular energy saving in this system. The ASUS technical page gives a 115–240Vac input range and says maximum power output varies with regional input voltage and cord assembly. Confirm the supply and included power cord for the destination region with ASUS or the seller before ordering.

Performance: read the workload, not just the tokens-per-second figure
Published throughput results are not directly interchangeable. Model size, precision, prompt and output lengths, concurrent streams, and serving software all affect the result. Aggregate throughput under many concurrent requests is also different from the latency a single user experiences.
| Source and workload | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| ASUS, June 15, 2026: Qwen vLLM stress test | Approximately 864 output tokens/s | ASUS’s announcement does not specify the model details needed to compare this with the StorageReview results. |
| ASUS, June 15, 2026: extended vLLM stress test | Approximately 1,600 combined input/output tokens/s | A combined input/output figure, not an output-only result. ASUS does not give enough workload detail in the cited claim for a like-for-like comparison. |
| StorageReview, 2026: Mistral Small 24B FP8, equal 512/512 workload | 11,075 output tokens/s | A specific model, precision, and equal input/output workload; not a general system speed. |
| StorageReview, 2026: Mistral Small 24B FP8, long-prompt test at 128 streams | 2,302 output tokens/s | A different prompt and concurrency condition from the equal 512/512 result. |
| StorageReview, 2026: Qwen3 Coder 30B FP8, equal workload | 319 output tokens/s at one stream; 12,439 at 128 streams | The large gap illustrates how concurrency and batching change aggregate throughput; it does not mean a single request runs at the 128-stream rate. |
ASUS’s figures are manufacturer-reported results from its engineering team’s extended vLLM testing. StorageReview says it had its review machine in the lab for about a week for benchmarks, photography, and physical checks. Neither set of figures should be treated as a substitute for testing the models and serving configuration a buyer intends to use.

Memory discrepancy: use the current 748GB figure
ASUS’s January 2026 CES announcement described 775GB of coherent memory, while its current product information and June launch release state 748GB. For the product as currently specified, use 748GB; the earlier announcement is a superseded figure, not evidence of a second current memory configuration. The reviewed platform’s 252GB HBM3e plus 496GB LPDDR5X breakdown adds up to the current total.
Buying and deployment checks
ASUS promotes presales consultation, but the published material cited here does not establish a current street price, a complete region-specific orderable configuration, or a verified retailer listing. Request a written quote that identifies the exact system configuration, included GPU and storage, operating system, support terms, power cord, and regional availability.
- Confirm the software environment. ASUS lists Ubuntu with NVIDIA AI Developer Tools. Windows-based AI development support is planned, but the cited material gives no release date.
- Match storage to the configuration. The product page’s maximum storage specification and the review unit’s drive layout are not interchangeable. Verify installed drives, open slots, and supported generation for the exact system being quoted.
- Plan networking around the deployment. Decide whether the link will use fiber transceivers or DACs, and verify accessory compatibility and availability.
- Verify site requirements. Check regional input voltage and cord assembly, cooling clearance, operating temperature, and the physical route for placing a 27kg tower.
- Benchmark representative work. Compare the same model, precision, prompt/output lengths, concurrency, and software stack; use both single-stream latency and aggregate throughput if both matter to the application.
Verdict
The ET900N G3’s strongest case is a deskside GB300 system that combines a 748GB coherent memory pool with 400GbE connectivity and cooling details aimed at sustained operation, including airflow over the optical cages. The handles are useful for deliberate placement, and the Titanium-rated 1,600W supply is a substantial power component, but neither feature makes the system light or establishes real-world efficiency by itself. It is worth considering when local AI workloads can use the platform’s memory and compute; buyers should settle the precise configuration, regional power details, software support, and workload-specific performance before committing.
