ASUS introduced the CX54 at CES 2024 as “the world’s first Intel® Core™ Ultra Chromebook Plus,” according to its CES 2024 pressroom announcement.
Is the CX54 Chromebook Plus worth it for work?
Its combination of Core Ultra options, a high-resolution 16:10 display, Thunderbolt 4/USB4, HDMI, USB-A, and microSD makes the CX54 a capable-looking fit for desk setups and mobile work. ASUS lists a 63 Wh battery, but the specifications cited here do not establish an independent battery-runtime result. Price and availability also vary by region and were not established here, so value depends on the price and configuration offered where you shop.
Compare the exact CX54 SKU with alternatives on processor, onboard memory, storage, touch capability, panel brightness and color gamut, adapter and accessories in the box, ports, weight, and local price. ASUS’s CX5403 technical specifications are the key reference for matching model numbers to hardware.
