The Aston Martin DBX GT is a new, refinement-focused version of the DBX, revealed on 1 October 2026. It keeps the DBX S’s 727 PS (535 kW) twin-turbo V8 and 900 Nm of torque, but adds changes to the seats, cabin sound insulation, suspension tuning and exhaust character. Aston Martin says it is aimed at buyers who want more comfort and a quieter, more discreet feel than the sportier DBX S. First deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2026; the announcement gives no price or market-specific launch dates.
What is the Aston Martin DBX GT?
The DBX GT is a new performance-luxury SUV variant that shifts the DBX’s emphasis toward comfort, refinement and everyday usability. Aston Martin presents it as the more discreet counterpart to the DBX S, rather than as a lower-powered or less capable model. The company’s 1 October 2026 announcement describes a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, a nine-speed wet-clutch automatic and a set of cabin, chassis and exhaust changes intended to make the car more composed.
In the announcement, Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark described the target customer as someone who prefers “assured elegance over sporting aggression” and wants a higher degree of luxury. That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent assessment of how the GT drives.

Aston Martin specifies 727 PS and 900 Nm of torque for the GT. Its DBX S model specification gives the same 727 PS as 717 bhp or 535 kW, at 6,250 rpm; the GT announcement itself states 727 PS. The GT uses a nine-speed wet-clutch automatic, with calibration refinements Aston Martin says are intended to make shifts smoother and more consistent.

The announcement does not give a GT-specific acceleration time or top speed. DBX S performance figures should not be treated as measurements or specifications for the GT.
How does the DBX GT differ from the DBX S?
Aston Martin describes the DBX S as its more assertive, sporting, performance-focused flagship. The GT retains the same stated engine output while focusing its distinguishing changes on comfort, sound and a more restrained character.

Is the DBX GT quieter than the DBX S?
Aston Martin reports a 13% improvement in Articulation Index, which it describes as a measure of how easy it is to hold a conversation while moving. The figure is the manufacturer’s reported result; the announcement does not provide an independent verification or a decibel comparison between GT and S. It therefore supports saying that Aston Martin has engineered the GT for improved conversational comfort, not that an independent test has proved it is 13% quieter.

What has Aston Martin changed for comfort and refinement?
Cabin materials, seats and sound insulation
The GT receives revised seat forms and cushioning, deep-pile carpets, and acoustic laminated glass for the rear side windows. Aston Martin also describes additional sound-deadening material in the doors, wheel-arch areas and load space, alongside cabin-sealing and body-structure work. Together, these changes are intended to reduce noise entering the cabin and improve comfort.

Ride and chassis
A new transmission-mount bush and two longitudinal dampers are among the mechanical revisions. Aston Martin says they help the car remain composed over larger suspension movements. Revised chassis calibration and the GT’s wheel-and-tyre package are also intended to improve low-speed compliance.
Exhaust character
A dedicated rear-muffler gas-flow tune is designed to reduce harsh metallic frequencies. Aston Martin says GT mode is tuned for discreet progress, while Sport and Sport+ bring back a louder exhaust character. These are manufacturer descriptions; the announcement does not include independent sound measurements.

What wheels and tyres does the DBX GT use?
The standard setup pairs a new 22-inch forged wheel with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres. Buyers can specify a 23-inch package with either Pirelli P-Zero Summer or Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres, according to Aston Martin. The announcement does not establish exact retail fitment for every market or configuration, so confirm wheel and tyre sizes, load ratings and availability for a specific vehicle before relying on a package description.

The exterior changes include a double-vaned grille, a two-piece metal side strake, body-colour lower trim and horizontally arranged quad exhaust finishers. Aston Martin’s creative chief Marek Reichman describes the design approach as more discreet, intended to “downplay” the car’s outright performance in favour of understated character.

When will the DBX GT go on sale, and how much will it cost?
Aston Martin says first deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2026. Its announcement does not state a price, specify when orders open in individual markets, or provide market-by-market availability details. Those details should be confirmed with Aston Martin for the buyer’s location; the delivery schedule is not a guarantee of a particular market’s order or handover date.
