What the reported £530 deal means
The £530 figure is a price reported by T3 on 6 October 2026 for an Amazon UK offer. T3 compared it with a usual price of £2,300 and called the reduction 77%. That is the publication’s deal comparison, not a verified current Amazon price or a confirmed saving against every seller’s price.
Astell&Kern’s UK product page displayed £2,299 when accessed in 2026. The £1 difference from T3’s figure is consistent with a rounded comparison, but the two prices come from different sources. The reported offer may have ended or changed; confirm the amount, seller, delivery terms and stock on the listing before placing an order.

What the ACRO CA1000T is
The CA1000T is a portable, battery-powered all-in-one audio system, rather than just a desktop headphone amplifier. Astell&Kern describes it as a combination of digital audio player, DAC and headphone amplifier, with a range of analogue and digital connections. That design suits someone who wants playback, conversion and amplification in one unit; it is less compelling if the aim is simply to add an amplifier to an existing setup.

Headphone outputs and power
The unit provides four headphone sockets: 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm unbalanced, plus 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm balanced. Check the plug on your headphones and whether you intend to use balanced or unbalanced operation before buying; the connector formats are not interchangeable without the appropriate cable or adapter.
Astell&Kern specifies a maximum output of 15 Vrms from the balanced output at the highest gain setting, under a no-load condition. This is a manufacturer specification, not a measurement of output into a particular headphone. Actual suitability depends on the headphones and listening level, so the maximum figure alone does not establish how loud or cleanly it will drive every model.

DAC, amplification and playback formats
Astell&Kern lists dual ESS ES9039MPRO DACs, two KORG Nutube 6P1 tubes, a three-mode amplifier design and four gain levels. The manufacturer says the player supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD512. These are supported formats and design details, not evidence that a particular recording will sound better than it would on another system.

Astell&Kern rates the battery at 10,100 mAh and estimates about 11 hours of playback in a specific test configuration: FLAC 16-bit/44.1 kHz, unbalanced output, volume 40, screen off, OP AMP mode and low gain. Treat that as the manufacturer’s estimate under those conditions, not a guaranteed runtime for other settings or independent battery testing.
