To tag contacts in Hostinger Reach, open Audience → Contacts, select one or more contacts, click Manage tags, choose existing tags or create one, then apply or remove the selected tags.
Apply or remove tags from contacts
- In the Reach dashboard, open Audience → Contacts.
- Select the contact or contacts you want to update.
- Click Manage tags in the toolbar.
- Select the existing tags to change, or create a new tag.
- Choose whether to apply or remove the selected tags.
Hostinger documents a limit of 180 unique tags per account and 50 tags on a contact at one time. If you reach a limit, remove unused tags before creating or applying more. These limits were stated in Hostinger’s support article, updated around September 2026; check the current guidance because product limits can change. See Hostinger Reach: Assigning tags to contacts.
Manage tags and review their contacts
For tag administration, go to Audience → Tags. There you can view tags and their contact counts, open a tag to review its associated contacts, rename or delete tags, and create a segment from a tag. The same support guide describes these options: Audience tag management in Reach.

Tags can be added manually or assigned through supported ways of bringing contacts into Reach. The exact behavior depends on the workflow:

Use tags to build campaign segments
A tag labels contacts; a segment selects contacts according to conditions. Segment rules can include or exclude particular tags and combine tag conditions. For example, a segment could include contacts tagged A and B while excluding contacts tagged C. Review the resulting audience before sending a campaign. Hostinger explains segment conditions in its Audience Segmentation guide.
Once created, a segment can be chosen for a one-off campaign or excluded when sending to all contacts. If you select multiple segments, Reach removes duplicate recipients, so someone included in more than one selected segment receives one email.
