Armis announced its acquisition of OT and cyber-physical-systems security company OTORIO on March 6, 2025. The plan was to integrate OTORIO’s Titan platform with Armis Centrix, adding broader industrial security capabilities and an on-premises deployment option for organizations that cannot connect sensitive environments to the cloud.
What Armis bought and why
OTORIO specialized in operational-technology (OT) and cyber-physical-systems (CPS) security. Armis said Titan would become part of Centrix, its cyber exposure management platform, alongside an on-premises CPS option for air-gapped or otherwise disconnected sites.
The strategic target is industrial and critical-infrastructure organizations whose security requirements differ from those of ordinary IT networks. Armis specifically identified heavy industry, energy, utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing and other critical-infrastructure environments. These sites may need local processing, strict segmentation and security controls that continue working when systems have no online access.
Yevgeny Dibrov, Armis’s CEO and co-founder at the time, described the deal as enabling “an on-premises solution” for fully air-gapped heavy-industry and critical-infrastructure customers. That is a statement of the company’s announced direction, not an independent assessment of deployment results.

Acquisition and ownership timeline
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| March 6, 2025 | Armis announced that it had acquired OTORIO and would integrate Titan with Armis Centrix. |
| March 14, 2025 | ANDRITZ confirmed that it had sold its OTORIO stake to Armis. Armis consequently held full ownership, and ANDRITZ and Armis announced a strategic partnership involving ANDRITZ’s Metris digital platform. |
| April 20, 2026 | ServiceNow completed its acquisition of Armis. ServiceNow said Centrix would remain available as a standalone solution, supported by its product, engineering and go-to-market organization, with integration into the ServiceNow AI Platform. |
As of the April 20, 2026 completion announcement, Armis is part of ServiceNow rather than an independent privately held company.
What Titan was expected to add to Centrix
The companies associated the OTORIO integration with several capability areas. They were announced capabilities and plans; the cited announcements do not independently verify feature completeness, rollout timing or performance.
On-premises and air-gapped operation
Centrix was cloud-based, while Titan was presented as a way to support local, on-premises CPS security. That distinction matters for plants, substations, production lines and other facilities where operational networks are deliberately isolated or have highly restricted outbound connectivity.

- Delivers gigabit performance with up to 750,000 concurrent connections to handle growth in users, devices, and SaaS applications.
OT and CPS asset exposure management
The combination was intended to extend exposure management beyond conventional IT assets into industrial control systems and connected physical processes. The practical objective is a common view of assets, vulnerabilities and security exposure across connected, hybrid and disconnected environments.
Secure remote access
Secure remote access (SRA) was one of the capability areas associated with OTORIO and the planned integration. In an industrial setting, SRA is used to let authorized personnel or vendors reach equipment without broadly opening the control network. The announcements do not establish specific access workflows, supported protocols or independent security results.
Attack-path mapping
Attack-path analysis was another named capability. It is intended to show how weaknesses or exposed connections could be chained toward important OT or CPS assets, helping teams prioritize remediation according to operational risk rather than vulnerability counts alone.

Risk-based vulnerability management
The companies also cited risk-based vulnerability management. For OT operators, prioritization must account for safety, production impact, asset criticality and maintenance windows, because immediately patching every vulnerable device is often impossible.
What the deal means for industrial security teams
The acquisition addresses a deployment-model gap: many OT security programs need both centralized visibility and controls that operate locally. A connected enterprise might use cloud-based Centrix, while an isolated facility could require an on-premises implementation, with the two approaches coordinated across a wider program where appropriate.
- Air-gapped sites: confirm which discovery, monitoring, policy and reporting functions operate without an online connection.
- Hybrid estates: determine how local data is synchronized, what metadata leaves the facility and how administrators manage disconnected periods.
- Remote maintenance: evaluate vendor access approvals, session controls, logging and emergency-access procedures.
- OT risk decisions: check whether prioritization incorporates safety and production consequences, not only CVSS-style severity.
- Operational integration: map how findings reach existing security operations, asset-management, maintenance and incident-response workflows.
Neither the acquisition announcements nor the later ownership announcement provide neutral performance benchmarks, comparative pricing or independently verified evidence that the integration produces a particular reduction in risk.

ANDRITZ partnership and Metris connection
ANDRITZ said it sold its stake in OTORIO to Armis while also entering a strategic partnership with Armis. The stated goal was to add technology to ANDRITZ’s Metris digital platform. Joachim Schönbeck, ANDRITZ’s CEO, called Armis the right partner to further develop OTORIO’s products and offerings.
This partnership is relevant to operators already using ANDRITZ equipment or Metris services, but the announcement does not define every product integration, delivery schedule or commercial term. Organizations should obtain those details directly from the vendors during procurement or implementation planning.

How much did Armis pay for OTORIO?
The companies did not disclose a purchase price. TechCrunch reported an estimated $120 million in cash and shares, citing unnamed sources close to the transaction. That figure is not a confirmed company-reported price.
Armis also described OTORIO as its third acquisition in less than 12 months and claimed a 2,000% increase in related revenues after its earlier Silk Security and CTCI acquisitions. Those are Armis statements about its acquisition activity and revenue claim, not independent evidence of OTORIO’s post-acquisition results.
Bottom line for buyers
Armis’s OTORIO acquisition was primarily a platform and deployment expansion: Titan’s industrial-security technology was intended to extend Centrix into OT and CPS environments, including facilities that need on-premises or fully air-gapped operation. The later ServiceNow acquisition changed Armis’s corporate ownership but did not remove Centrix’s standalone positioning. Buyers should treat the announced SRA, attack-path mapping, vulnerability-management and on-premises capabilities as vendor-described functionality and verify current availability, architecture and support for their specific site before selecting a deployment.
