The Ariston ARWD582WAU is a discontinued washer-dryer combo with a 7.5 kg washing capacity, a smaller 4.5 kg drying capacity and a maximum spin speed of 1,200 rpm. That gap is the key trade-off: a full wash load may be too large to dry in one go. Ariston’s 2020 specification sheet provides the model’s features and dimensions, but public independent test scores are not available, so the evidence does not support a definitive verdict on cleaning or drying performance.
What the ARWD582WAU offers
Ariston’s 2020 specification sheet describes the ARWD582WAU as a washer-dryer combo with a digital display, a collector motor and 16 programmes, plus four programme options. Wash and dry capacity
The rated capacities are 7.5 kg for washing and 4.5 kg for drying. The drying limit matters when planning a continuous wash-and-dry cycle: a load that fills the washer’s capacity may need to be split before drying. Ariston’s product-category page says the machine can wash and dry 4.5 kg in one process; it does not establish that a 7.5 kg wash load can then be dried as one load.
Programmes and options
The specification sheet lists Cottons with prewash; Cottons (1), (2) and (3); Durable Synthetics; Jeans; Baby; Mix 30; Silk; Wool; Wash & Dry; Drying Cotton; Drying Synthetic; Drying Wool; Rinse; Spin; and Drain. It also describes Woolmark care, a child lock, delay timer and pause-and-add, subject to safety conditions. Consult the model manual for operating details and any restrictions.

Space, installation and connections
Ariston lists product dimensions of 595 × 850 × 535 mm and built-in dimensions of 595 × 850 × 580 mm. The sheet specifies a cold-fill-only water supply. Measure the intended space and check the installation instructions for clearance and connection requirements rather than treating the product dimensions as the full space needed. The specification sheet gives 66 kg in a combined net/gross weight field. Because it does not distinguish the two figures, that number should not be treated as a confirmed net weight.

What performance evidence is available?
Independent testing
CHOICE’s public model page marks the ARWD582WAU discontinued and lists 7.5 kg wash capacity, 4.5 kg dry capacity, a maximum 1,200 rpm spin speed, Italy as country of origin and a two-year warranty. The page’s expert rating and wash, drying, cycle-time, noise, efficiency and cost results are members-only. A ProductReview.com.au reviewer, “Singleguy,” reported that washing took about two hours and drying about four hours, describing drying as slow. The reviewer also noted that a 7 kg wash load exceeds the stated 4.5 kg drying capacity. This is one person’s experience, not a controlled test or a representative cycle-time measurement. Energy and water figures do not match across sources
The figures published by Ariston and CHOICE differ. The reviewed sources do not explain whether the gap reflects different label methods or reporting contexts, so the values should be kept separate rather than combined or treated as directly comparable.

Do not use the two sets to calculate a direct efficiency comparison without a common test basis. For current household costs or regulatory-label comparisons, verify the label and measurement method applicable to the specific machine and market.

The capacity difference should guide the decision more than the programme count. The ARWD582WAU may suit someone who values a single appliance and typically washes loads that can be reduced to 4.5 kg for drying.
