No official source reviewed confirms that Pokémon HeartGold or Pokémon SoulSilver will return in February 2027. The date appears in a separate Pokémon announcement: Pokémon Bank is scheduled to end service that month. That shutdown is not a game rerelease.
Is HeartGold or SoulSilver returning in February 2027?
There is no substantiated February 2027 rerelease announcement for either game in the official sources reviewed. Pokémon’s Pokémon Day 2026 announcement roundup, published February 27, 2026, covers the rerelease of Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version, and says Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is coming to Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics. It does not announce a return for HeartGold or SoulSilver.
This is a finding about the official pages reviewed, not proof that no announcement could be made later. Pokémon Support says public information about upcoming Pokémon titles will be posted at pokemon.com.
What does the February 2027 date refer to?
The February 2027 date belongs to Pokémon Bank’s planned end of service. The Pokémon Company International lists the deadline as February 26, 2027, at 03:00 UTC. Nintendo of America gives the corresponding US Pacific time as Thursday, February 25, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. These are two time-zone descriptions of the same deadline, not separate release dates.

When Pokémon Bank ends, transfers from Bank to Pokémon HOME also stop. If you have Pokémon stored in Bank, Pokémon’s notice advises moving them to HOME before the shutdown. See the Pokémon Bank notice and Nintendo’s end-of-service notice.
What are the original HeartGold and SoulSilver games?
Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version are Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games, not confirmed upcoming editions for a newer platform. Pokémon’s official game page describes updated graphics and sound, touch-screen features used alongside button controls, and an included Pokéwalker accessory. The Pokéwalker connects to the game card by infrared so a Pokémon can be transferred from the game to the accessory.

How can you play the games now?

The official title page establishes the original platform, but it does not verify current stock, seller authenticity, prices, or availability of replacement hardware or Pokéwalkers.
