If THE FINALS crashes with an inpoutx64.sys error, Embark says its August 27, 2026, Update 11.7.0 fixed the crash and removed the need to uninstall the driver. For ARC Raiders, the current status is unverified in the official material available here, so do not assume the same fix—or remove a Windows driver based on advice for the other game.
First, check which game is crashing

Why older advice says to remove inpoutx64.sys
Embark reported that some THE FINALS players experienced crashes after Windows update KB5121003, involving inpoutx64.sys. That was a specific reported compatibility issue, not proof that every crash or anti-cheat error has the same cause. Embark’s August 17, 2026, troubleshooting article described a temporary removal procedure. Its later Update 11.7.0 note supersedes that procedure for current THE FINALS play.
Because the later patch says the file no longer needs to be uninstalled to play THE FINALS, do not follow old instructions to delete inpoutx64.sys as a routine first fix. The corresponding status for ARC Raiders is not confirmed by the available official material.
If you are following the historical THE FINALS workaround
The steps below are the procedure Embark published on August 17, 2026, for affected THE FINALS players at that time. They alter a Windows service and remove a system driver file; they are historical guidance, not the current default recommendation after Update 11.7.0.

- Open Command Prompt as administrator.
- Stop the service by running
sc stop inpoutx64. - Delete the service by running
sc delete inpoutx64. - Delete
C:WindowsSystem32driversinpoutx64.sys. - Optionally remove the registry service key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesinpoutx64. - Restart Windows.
Embark said this should resolve the issue at the time of publication. Do not apply the procedure to ARC Raiders unless current ARC Raiders-specific official guidance directs you to do so.
If the error is a different THE FINALS integrity violation
An integrity violation is not automatically the inpoutx64.sys incident. Embark’s general THE FINALS support guidance lists several other checks; use these when the message points to a broader integrity issue rather than the named driver crash. Read Embark’s System Integrity Violation guidance.

- Check Windows security settings, including Core Isolation, Memory Integrity, and Secure Boot if available.
- Install available Windows updates.
- Close third-party processes that may interfere with gameplay or hardware.
- Try a clean boot to check whether background software is involved.
- If needed, add THE FINALS and Easy Anti-Cheat to your antivirus exceptions.
These are general integrity-error troubleshooting steps; they do not diagnose inpoutx64.sys or establish that it caused a particular crash.

Avoid replacement drivers and cleanup tools
The documented historical workaround used built-in Windows utilities, and the later THE FINALS update removed the need to uninstall the driver for that game. The available guidance does not support downloading a replacement inpoutx64.sys, using a registry cleaner, or buying hardware as a fix.
