Apple One is worth considering when you already want several of its included services or can share a suitable plan with family. If you would use only one service—or would choose a different storage amount or entertainment option—buying subscriptions separately may be the better fit. Compare the services you would genuinely keep, their prices in your country, and the iCloud+ storage you need before choosing.
Which services does Apple offer?
Apple’s services cover music and video, games, workouts, news, and cloud storage. Its current overview names Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+, and iCloud+ (Apple Services). Apple One bundles some or all of these, depending on the plan and country.
Apple’s US plan page describes Apple Music as having more than 100 million songs, Apple Arcade as offering over 200 games, and Fitness+ as including 12 workout types. These are Apple’s own catalog and feature claims, not independent measurements; catalogs and availability can change (Apple One).
What does Apple One cost in the US, and what is included?
Apple’s US storefront lists the following monthly plans. Prices and inclusions are specific to that storefront and may change; check the Apple One page for your country before subscribing.
#1 Best Overall
- 4K High Dynamic Range (Dolby Vision and HDR10) for stunning picture quality
- Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound
- A10X Fusion chip for ultra-fast graphics and performance
- Voice search by asking the Siri Remote
| Plan | US price per month | Included iCloud+ storage | Services and sharing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | $21.95 | 50GB | Includes the services assigned to the Individual plan. Apple says Apple TV and Apple Arcade can be shared through Family Sharing even on this plan. |
| Family | $27.95 | 200GB | Includes the services assigned to the Family plan and can be shared with up to five other family members through Family Sharing. |
| Premier | $39.95 | 2TB | Includes all six services and can be shared with up to five other family members through Family Sharing. |
Apple displays standalone prices and estimated bundle savings alongside its plan details. Treat those figures as a US-storefront comparison, not a guaranteed saving for every household: the calculation only helps if you would otherwise pay for the included services you will actually use (Apple One).
Is Apple One worth it for you?
Compare the bundle with your real alternatives, not with every service Apple could include. Add up the individual subscriptions you would keep and the iCloud+ tier you need, then compare that total with the Apple One plan that includes them.

- List what you would use. Include current subscriptions and services you are ready to start using. Leave out anything you would not choose on its own.
- Choose the storage you need. Compare the plan’s included iCloud+ capacity with your actual requirement. If you need a different amount, account for the possibility that a separate iCloud+ plan may remain billed.
- Compare local monthly costs. Add the standalone prices in your country, then compare them with the Apple One plan available in your storefront.
- Account for family use. Count eligible family members only if they are likely to use the services, and check which plan features they can share.
- Check availability and cancellation effects. Confirm that the services work in your country and on your devices, and understand what access ends if you cancel.
Apple One is more likely to fit when
- You independently want multiple services included in the same plan.
- The plan’s iCloud+ storage suits your needs.
- Family members will use the eligible shared services, making a family plan useful.
Separate subscriptions are more likely to fit when
- You want only one Apple service.
- You need more or less storage than the bundle includes and the adjusted cost changes the comparison.
- You prefer a competing service that Apple One does not include.
- The bundle’s extra services would go unused. An advertised maximum saving is not necessarily your household’s saving.
Can you share Apple One with family?
Apple One Family and Premier can be shared with the organizer and up to five other family members using Family Sharing. Each person uses their own Apple Account, so their experiences remain personalized. Sharing eligible subscription access is distinct from purchase sharing, which has separate behavior. iCloud+ also requires an additional sharing step (Set up Family Sharing; Apple One).
Apple says Apple TV and Apple Arcade support Family Sharing even with Apple One Individual. That limited sharing does not make the Individual plan equivalent to the broader sharing available with Family or Premier.

What happens to billing and access if you cancel?
Apple describes Apple One as a monthly subscription with no long-term commitment. You can cancel in your Apple Account settings; Apple says to do so at least a day before the monthly renewal date. Existing subscriptions included in Apple One generally move to the bundle’s billing. If your existing iCloud+ plan has more storage than the bundle, it may continue to be billed separately unless you cancel it (Apple One).
For Apple Arcade, canceling ends access to Arcade games. If iCloud is enabled, game progress remains available if you subscribe again later. Saved progress is not continued access to the games while the subscription is inactive (If you cancel Apple Arcade).
