For India-market buyers, the iPhone 16 is the lighter, smaller-screen option with Apple’s A18 chip and iOS; the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini offers a larger 120Hz display, more camera modules, 12GB RAM and a higher stated battery capacity. Neither spec sheet establishes which phone takes better photos, runs faster in sustained use or lasts longer in everyday conditions. The right choice depends chiefly on your preferred platform, screen size, camera flexibility and the exact price for matching storage.

Which phone is smaller and easier to carry?
The iPhone 16 has the smaller display at 6.1 inches and weighs 170g. The Reno15 Pro Mini’s display measures 6.32 inches (16.05cm), and the handset weighs about 187g or 188g depending on color. Choose the iPhone if lower weight and a more compact screen matter most; choose the Reno if you prefer more viewing area. The Reno’s name does not make it the smaller of these two phones by the listed dimensions.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDoes the Reno15 Pro Mini have a 120Hz display?
Yes. OPPO lists a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz for the Reno15 Pro Mini. Apple’s iPhone 16 specification page gives no higher refresh-rate figure, so the published comparison favors the Reno on this specific display specification. A refresh-rate number alone does not establish overall display quality or how a phone will feel in every app.

Which phone has the better cameras?
The phones use different camera layouts, but the listed megapixels and lens count cannot establish which produces better photos or video. That requires comparable image testing in the conditions you care about.
Reno15 Pro Mini: more dedicated camera modules
OPPO lists a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP front camera. The dedicated telephoto module gives the Reno a distinct hardware option for shooting from a longer focal length.

iPhone 16: main and ultra-wide cameras
Apple lists a 48MP Fusion main camera with a 2x telephoto option and a 12MP ultra-wide, plus a 12MP TrueDepth front camera. The 2x option is part of the main-camera system; it is not listed as a separate dedicated telephoto module.
Battery capacity, playback claims and charging
OPPO lists a 6200mAh typical battery capacity (6035mAh rated) and charging up to 80W SUPERVOOC. Apple instead publishes playback estimates for the iPhone 16: up to 22 hours of video playback and up to 18 hours of streamed-video playback. These are different kinds of measurements, so they do not prove which phone lasts longer in ordinary use. The listed 80W figure also does not establish a charge time.

Apple says fast charging requires a 20W-or-higher adapter or MagSafe charger sold separately. Check accessory compatibility and what is included in the box before buying; the manufacturer specification does not make an optional accessory part of the phone price.
What is the Reno15 Pro Mini price in India, and what is the price difference?

Third-party price pages show why a single current price difference is unreliable without matching storage, seller and date. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot accessed 7 October 2026 listed the iPhone 16 at ₹86,900 and the Reno15 Pro Mini at ₹59,999, but the iPhone storage configuration was unclear in the comparison excerpt. Smartprix listed ₹69,900 for iPhone 16 and ₹64,999 for the Reno15 Pro Mini 12GB + 512GB, with product information last updated 15 September 2026. Those are separate snapshots, not a like-for-like resolution of current prices: 91mobiles comparison and Smartprix comparison.

Best Value
- The large 6.9-inch display combines ProMotion 120Hz technology with advanced color calibration, giving movies, games, and productivity apps a spacious, crisp, and fluid visual experience that’s ideal for multitasking or immersive media consumption.
Software, connectivity and durability
Choose the platform that fits your devices and apps
The iPhone 16 runs iOS and lists Apple Intelligence; the Reno15 Pro Mini runs Android with ColorOS 16. If you already use an iPhone, Apple services or accessories, that ecosystem may weigh heavily; Android and ColorOS may suit buyers who prefer that environment. OPPO’s launch announcement states an update commitment for the Reno15 series, but the cited materials do not provide a comparable support-duration promise for the iPhone 16. Do not infer equal support periods from the available information.
Compare the listed connections you need
Apple lists 5G sub-6, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 for iPhone 16. OPPO lists Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, as well as dual Nano-SIM; its specifications list no eSIM. Check carrier support and your preferred SIM setup before choosing, particularly if eSIM is important to you.
Read water-resistance ratings with their test conditions
Apple specifies IP68 under IEC 60529, with a maximum depth of 6m for up to 30 minutes. OPPO’s India launch announcement lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 for the Reno15 Pro Mini. The rating labels do not mean the phones were tested under identical conditions, and they are not a promise that water damage cannot occur. See OPPO’s announcement and Apple’s specifications for the manufacturers’ details.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose iPhone 16 if you want the lighter 170g phone, prefer iOS or Apple’s ecosystem, and are comfortable with its 6.1-inch display and listed 128GB India capacity.
- Choose OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini if you want a 6.32-inch display with up to 120Hz, a dedicated telephoto camera, 12GB RAM, or the listed 256GB and 512GB storage options.
- Compare current prices before deciding if cost is central: use the same seller, date and storage comparison, since the cited price snapshots differ and do not establish a definitive like-for-like current gap.
- Do not decide on untested performance claims: the listed processors, battery figures and camera hardware are not substitutes for matched tests of speed, endurance or image quality.
