Apple’s October 13, 2026 “Welcome Home” event introduced three connected-home products: Apple HomeView, the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2. Apple opened preorders after the event. The Apple TV 4K and HomeView are scheduled to become available November 13, while HomePod mini 2 is reported to launch October 30.
What Apple announced
The refresh expands Apple’s home lineup across three roles. Apple TV 4K is a television-connected streaming box and smart-home hub. HomeView is a shared display for household controls and Siri requests, available as either a tabletop unit or a wall-mounted model. HomePod mini 2 is a compact speaker that can also serve as a surround-sound companion for the new Apple TV.

Apple TV 4K (fourth generation): what is new
AI-powered Siri on the television
The new Apple TV 4K adds Siri AI with a full-screen conversational interface. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone, Siri can use personal context for supported requests. Three far-field microphones enable hands-free Siri, including while audio is playing.
A19 performance and AV1 decoding
Apple says its A19 chip provides up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous Apple TV generation. Those percentages are Apple’s stated comparisons, not independent benchmark results. A dedicated AV1 decoder is designed for high-quality streaming with lower bandwidth use.

Findable remote and expanded audio
The revised Siri Remote supports Find My with Precision Finding and can play a sound to help locate it. Apple says the remote is also sold separately and works with Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.
With four HomePod mini 2 speakers, the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K can create a four-speaker surround setup. Apple says the system automatically calibrates speaker positions to the room. Apple vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing Bob Borchers called it “our most immersive home theater experience yet.”
Smart-home hub functions
Apple TV 4K remains a home hub with Wi-Fi and Thread. It supports accessory and scene control, automations, guest mode and on-device processing for HomeKit Secure Video.

Apple HomeView: tabletop or wall-mounted?
Tabletop HomeView
The tabletop version is offered in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey. It is the simpler choice if you want a portable placement that can move between rooms without installation work.
Wall-mounted HomeView
The wall-mounted model comes in space grey and silver. Installation uses Schneider Home accessories. Apple lists the Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector from £54.95 and Power Mount AC Wired from £69.95. A Power Mount PoE Wired option is planned for early 2027 at £119.95.
Choose the wall model when a fixed control point is more important than portability, and account for the mount and any electrical or network work in the installation budget.

HomeView availability, languages and device requirements
Launch markets
Apple says HomeView availability begins November 13, 2026, in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Singapore preorders begin October 15. In South Africa, sales run through authorized resellers. Apple’s UK release lists both HomeView models at £299.

HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union while Siri AI is unavailable in iOS there. This is a regional sales restriction, not merely a language-selection limitation.
Siri AI languages
At launch, HomeView Siri AI supports English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Apple says Canadian French is planned in a software update.

iPhone and iPad dependency
A compatible iPhone or iPad running the latest software is required for HomeView setup and multiuser support. Personal-context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. Therefore, HomeView is not a fully independent purchase for households without a compatible Apple mobile device.

Apple Home Collection accessories are coming later
Apple says accessories in its Apple Home Collection begin arriving in December, with select products planned for early 2027. These accessories require an iPhone running the latest operating system for NFC pairing. Features vary by accessory and by the compatible home hub, so the accessory launch does not make every HomeView or Apple TV function universal across homes.

What to know before preordering
- Apple TV timing: preorder from October 13, with store availability scheduled for November 13, 2026.
- HomeView choice: select tabletop or wall-mounted before ordering; the wall model requires a separate mounting accessory.
- Compatibility: confirm that your iPhone or iPad supports the latest software and, for personal-context Siri, Apple Intelligence.
- Language and region: check whether your country is in Apple’s launch list and whether your preferred Siri language is supported.
- Surround sound: a four-speaker setup requires four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod speakers, in addition to the Apple TV 4K.
