Apple’s new Home Collection is a smart-home accessory lineup co-developed with LG Electronics, alongside two climate-control products from Schneider Electric. Apple announced U.S. starting prices from $39.95 to $399.95 and says sales are planned to begin in December 2026, with select products arriving in early 2027. These are announced prices and dates, not confirmation that the products are already available to buy.
What’s in Apple Home Collection?
The collection covers front-door security, indoor and outdoor cameras, and climate control. LG supplies seven accessories; Schneider Electric contributes a separate thermostat and room sensor. As a result, not every product in the collection is made by LG.
| Product | Announced U.S. starting price | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| LG Video Doorbell Wired | $249.95 | Wired doorbell with a 2.5K front camera, a full-HD bottom camera for package views, built-in spotlight and chime. |
| LG Floodlight Cam | $399.95 | Outdoor camera with adaptive dual floodlights and low-light color night vision. |
| LG Outdoor Cam Plug-In | $299.95 | Plug-in outdoor camera intended for self-installation, with low-light color night vision. |
| LG Indoor Cam Plug-In | $199.95 | Indoor camera that tilts to change or stop monitoring; LG lists a 160-degree field of view. |
| LG Smart Deadbolt Lock | $349.95 | Deadbolt with hands-free unlocking using UWB and a compatible Apple home key, plus tap, PIN and physical backup-key access. |
| LG Smart Thermostat | $199.95 | Thermostat with Apple’s Adaptive Temperature feature. |
| LG Temperature Sensor | $39.95 | Additional room temperature and humidity sensing. |
| Schneider Home Smart Thermostat | $199.95 | A second thermostat option, made by Schneider Electric rather than LG. |
| Schneider Home Room Sensor | $39.95 | Schneider Electric’s companion room sensor. |
Prices are Apple’s announced U.S. starting prices; they are not a guarantee of a retailer’s final price. Apple’s announcement lists availability in the U.S., Canada and UK for LG cameras and the doorbell. It lists the LG lock, thermostat and temperature sensor, plus Schneider’s climate products, for the U.S. and Canada. LG says its UK availability in December is limited to the indoor and outdoor cameras and doorbell. Availability may differ by market.

Which camera or doorbell fits the job?
For the front door
The wired LG Video Doorbell is designed to show both visitors and parcels: Apple specifies a 2.5K front camera and a separate full-HD camera aimed at the area below. Its built-in spotlight and chime are also part of the announced hardware. The collection’s deadbolt can be paired with the doorbell in Apple Home, where Apple says users can view a visitor and unlock the door from one Home app view or by asking Siri.

For outdoor coverage
The Floodlight Cam combines a camera with adaptive dual floodlights. The Outdoor Cam Plug-In is another exterior option, described as self-installable and equipped with low-light color night vision. The announcement does not establish a comparative field of view or other complete specification set for these two outdoor models, so choose based on the need for integrated lighting versus a plug-in camera placement.
For indoor monitoring
The Indoor Cam Plug-In can tilt to change or stop monitoring; LG lists its field of view as 160 degrees. Apple says the camera lineup supports video up to 2.5K and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Those are announced capabilities, not independent test results.
How the lock and climate products work
Smart deadbolt
LG’s Smart Deadbolt supports hands-free unlocking using ultra-wideband (UWB) with a compatible Apple home key, as well as tap and PIN entry. A physical backup key is included as another access method. Apple says core access features operate locally without an internet connection. Confirm that the lock is suitable for your door and compatible Apple devices before buying; the announcement does not provide a complete door-fit or device-compatibility checklist.

Thermostats and room sensors
There are two thermostat choices: LG’s Smart Thermostat and Schneider Home Smart Thermostat, each with an announced U.S. starting price of $199.95. Each manufacturer also offers a room sensor at $39.95. Apple describes Adaptive Temperature as using on-device intelligence on iPhone to adjust temperature around home, sleep and away states.
Apple says the thermostats work with a broad range of HVAC systems, but that does not establish compatibility with every home. Thermostat suitability depends on the existing system and wiring. Apple and LG mention wire detection and separately sold C-wire adapters; check the actual wiring requirements for your system rather than assuming a thermostat will be a direct replacement.
Apple’s Clean Energy Guidance feature is described for the contiguous United States and requires a compatible utility plan. It should not be treated as a feature available to every customer or utility.

What Apple Home setup and features require
Apple says the accessories are managed through Apple Home and set up with an iPhone, without a separate app or account required for Apple Home setup. LG also says the products support LG ThinQ. Apple Home features may have additional service and hardware requirements:
Recommended Free Tools
- Camera event-video history is available for 10 days with supported iCloud+ plans.
- Video summaries and natural-language video search require an eligible iCloud+ plan and setup with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.
- Apple says Home app data is end-to-end encrypted. This is Apple’s privacy statement, not an independent security assessment.
Apple announced HomeView separately on the same date. It is a 7-inch display and smart-home dashboard that can show camera feeds and control accessories, and Apple says it works with Home Collection as well as other Works with Apple Home and Matter products. It is a separate product, not part of LG’s accessory lineup. Apple says HomeView is not available for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is unavailable there in iOS.
When and where will the products be available?
Apple announced the collection on October 13, 2026, with sales planned to start in December and select accessories due in early 2027. The announcements do not establish current retail inventory. Apple’s announcement names the U.S., Canada and UK for LG cameras and the wired doorbell, while the lock, thermostats and sensors are listed for the U.S. and Canada. LG specifies that its UK December release covers only the indoor and outdoor cameras and doorbell. Check Apple or the manufacturer for market-specific launch details as the dates approach.
How to choose among the announced options
- Start with the task: choose the doorbell or lock for entry access, a camera for indoor or exterior monitoring, or a thermostat and room sensor for climate control.
- Check installation: the doorbell is wired; the outdoor camera is plug-in and described as self-install; thermostat compatibility depends on HVAC equipment and wiring.
- Compare the relevant hardware: the doorbell’s package-view camera, the Floodlight Cam’s lights, the Indoor Cam’s tilt behavior and the lock’s multiple entry methods distinguish the products.
- Check ecosystem needs: decide whether Apple Home setup and any iCloud+ camera features meet your needs, and confirm required Apple devices or services.
- Verify region and timing: the announced product list and launch timing vary by market, and some products are not expected until early 2027.
