Apple Del Amo in Torrance is temporarily closed, and Apple’s official store page lists the closure from October 14 through October 20, 2026. The notice does not identify what happened. Customers who need help can use Apple’s online Specialist and Genius Support services or visit another Apple location.
Which Apple Store is closed?
The affected store is Apple Del Amo at Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California. Torrance is part of the greater Los Angeles area, but this is a closure of one location—not an announcement that every Apple Store around Los Angeles is closed.

| Address | 3525 Carson St, Torrance, CA 90503 |
| Phone | (424) 408-5618 |

Apple’s location page showed the store closed each day from October 14 through October 20 when it was checked on October 14. The listing should be checked again before traveling because hours and availability can change.

- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
MacRumors reported that some Reddit commenters alleged extensive water damage after a roof leak at the mall. That allegation has not been confirmed by Apple, Del Amo Fashion Center, or another authoritative source, so it should not be treated as the reason for the closure.
When will Apple Del Amo reopen?
The official page lists the location as closed through October 20, 2026. That establishes the dates currently posted by Apple, but it does not guarantee that the doors will reopen on October 21. The Apple Post likewise described the store as closed through at least Tuesday, October 20, without a confirmed reopening date.

How to get Apple help while Del Amo is closed
Use Apple’s online Specialist session

Contact Genius Support online
Apple also points customers to Genius Support for setup assistance, Apple Account recovery, and screen-replacement help. Start online so Apple can identify the issue and explain the available service path before you make a trip.
Visit another Apple location
For a repair, replacement, or troubleshooting problem that requires hands-on service, check another nearby Apple Store and its appointment calendar. Availability varies by location. Confirm that the alternate store offers the specific service you need before leaving, particularly for screen replacement, device intake, or account-related issues.

Choosing the fastest option
| Your need | Best first step | Does it require visiting a store? |
|---|---|---|
| Buying a product or comparing models | Online Specialist session | No |
| Setup or Apple Account recovery | Online Genius Support | Usually no; follow Apple’s instructions |
| Screen replacement or physical repair | Genius Support, then check another location’s appointments | Often yes |
| Urgent replacement or pickup | Check inventory and appointments at another Apple Store | Usually yes |
Online support can save a wasted journey, but it cannot remove the need for an in-person visit when a technician must inspect or repair hardware. For urgent needs, compare appointment availability and travel time rather than assuming the closest location can accept walk-ins.

What to know before going to Del Amo
- Do not rely on the normal opening hours while the closure notice is active.
- Check Apple’s current store page immediately before setting out.
- Bring your appointment details and device information if Apple redirects you to another location.
- For account recovery or setup, begin with online Genius Support; it may resolve the issue without a store visit.
- Treat claims about a roof leak or water damage as unverified unless Apple or the mall confirms them.
What this closure does—and does not—mean
The closure concerns Apple Del Amo in Torrance. It does not indicate a region-wide shutdown of Apple retail stores in Los Angeles. Apple’s published message confirms a temporary interruption, while the cause and a firm reopening date remain undisclosed.
