The Apollo Dash looks like a well-equipped first commuter scooter, but its strongest case is for riders who value nimble handling and connected features more than light weight or suspension. Apollo lists it at $699 USD in the US, currently for preorder with delivery expected in late October 2026. Its advertised range is up to 25 miles in Eco mode; that is a maximum, not a promise of everyday distance.
Is the Apollo Dash a good first electric scooter?
It could be, if your route is mostly smooth, you can manage a 43 lb scooter, and you want built-in security and lighting features. T3’s hands-on review describes the Dash as planted, nimble and comfortable, praising its handling and rubberized deck. That review also identifies two practical compromises: the scooter has no suspension, and its weight may become taxing on long flights of stairs.
For an everyday commute, the key question is not simply whether the Dash has a long feature list. It is whether your routine includes stairs, rough pavement, or a need for more braking hardware than a rear drum brake. Apollo’s product listing also says the scooter is intended for adults 18 and older.
Price and availability
Apollo’s US product page lists the Dash for $699 USD and marks it for preorder, with delivery expected in late October 2026. The live listing is the clearest current indicator of US purchase status; Apollo Support has published a different, earlier launch schedule, so its older dates should not be treated as the present estimate. Check Apollo’s current Dash listing before ordering, since preorder timing and price can change.

How fast is the Apollo Dash, and how far can it go?
Apollo advertises a top speed of up to 20 mph and a maximum range of up to 25 miles in Eco mode. The range figure is Apollo’s claim, and the company says actual distance varies with rider weight, speed, terrain and conditions. Treat 25 miles as a best-case reference for planning, not a dependable distance for every ride or riding mode.

How it rides: T3’s hands-on impressions
T3’s reviewer found the Dash planted and nimble, and praised its rubberized deck, lighting and app features. The reviewer considered 43 lb relatively manageable for short carries, but warned that repeated or long stair climbs could be tiring. Those impressions make the Dash a more convincing fit for a commute with elevator access or brief carries than for a route that demands frequent stair carrying.
The lack of suspension is relevant if your route has broken pavement. T3 found the ride comfortable, but the review also notes the missing suspension; a comfortable ride on the reviewer’s route does not establish how it will feel on every rough surface. T3’s reviewer preferred a disc brake to the rear drum brake, while appreciating that regenerative braking has a separate control.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to weigh before buying
- Carry demands: At 43 lb, it is not a lightweight choice for frequent stair trips, even though T3 found short carries manageable.
- Road surface: There is no suspension, so riders on rough routes should factor that into comfort expectations.
- Braking preference: The hardware is a rear drum brake plus regenerative braking, not a disc-brake setup.
- Range planning: Base a commute on a margin below Apollo’s Eco-mode maximum; distance depends on rider and conditions.
- Connected features: Apple Find My, NFC unlocking, app controls, turn signals and lighting add utility beyond basic transport.
- Local rules and safety: Apollo places responsibility for checking local regulations on the customer. Follow the manual and local requirements rather than assuming that the scooter’s advertised speed or IP rating determines where it may be ridden.
Safety and ownership details
Apollo’s product safety information warns that incorrect assembly, maintenance or use can cause component or performance failure, loss of control, serious injury or death. Read the manual and assembly instructions before riding, and use appropriate protective equipment. Apollo lists IP66 water resistance, but that rating is not a substitute for checking the manual’s operating and care guidance.
Apollo lists a Dash manual in its support index, but warranty conditions and exclusions should be confirmed in the current documentation and sales terms. Certification and water-resistance claims do not establish that local road, sidewalk or speed rules permit a particular use.

Verdict: who should consider the Apollo Dash?
The Dash is a compellingly equipped entry-level commuter on paper, and T3’s review supports its appeal for handling, deck comfort and practical tech features. Its main drawbacks are concrete: 43 lb to carry, no suspension, and a rear drum brake. If those compromises suit your commute, the $699 US listing and claimed Eco-mode range make it worth considering; if your routine means rough roads or lots of stairs, the weight and ride setup deserve priority over the feature list.
