AOC announced the 34-inch AGON PRO AG346UCD in October 2024 as a curved ultrawide QD-OLED gaming monitor with 3440×1440 resolution and a 175 Hz refresh rate. The phrase “a significant leap forward” came from AOC Gaming Product Manager Cesar Acosta; it is the company’s characterization, not an independently verified performance finding.
What AOC announced
The AGON PRO AG346UCD combines a 21:9 ultrawide screen with 1800R curvature. AOC positioned the format for games including racing and flight simulators, action games, FPS titles and RPGs, as well as streaming. Those are manufacturer-stated use cases; the launch announcement does not provide independent performance testing.
AOC’s announcement, reproduced by PC Guide on October 23, 2024, lists these specifications:
| Feature | Announced specification |
|---|---|
| Panel and size | 34-inch QD-OLED |
| Aspect ratio and curvature | 21:9; 1800R |
| Resolution | 3440×1440 UWQHD |
| Refresh rate | 175 Hz |
| Response time | Up to 0.03 ms GtG, as claimed by AOC |
| HDR and color | DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification; 10-bit color depth |
| Adaptive sync | VESA Adaptive-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro |
| Connections | 2× HDMI 2.0; 1× DisplayPort 1.4; 3-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub |
| Speakers | Two integrated 8W speakers |
| Stand adjustments | 130 mm height adjustment, tilt and swivel |
Resolution, refresh rate and image claims
The combination AOC announced is 3440×1440 pixels at up to 175 Hz. The 21:9 aspect ratio provides a wider canvas than a conventional 16:9 screen, while the 1800R curve describes the panel’s curvature. These figures establish the monitor’s advertised format, not how a particular game will perform: frame rates depend on the computer and game settings.

AOC also lists up to 0.03 ms GtG response time, DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, 10-bit color depth, VESA Adaptive-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The response-time figure is a manufacturer claim, and the announcement does not report independent measurements of brightness, color accuracy, input lag or motion handling.
Ports, speakers and stand
The listed video inputs are two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 input, alongside a three-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub. In other words, the announcement lists HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4; it does not list HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 2.1. What “a significant leap forward” means
Acosta described the monitor as “a significant leap forward in immersive ultrawide displays.” In the announcement, he also called the experience “unparalleled” and said it was “one monitor for everything,” pointing to the QD-OLED panel, 175 Hz refresh rate, colors, contrast and response-time claims. These are promotional statements from AGON by AOC, not comparative findings: the announcement supplies no head-to-head evaluation or hands-on results.

Launch price and availability

What the announcement does not establish
The launch information is useful for identifying the advertised specifications and connections, but it does not establish real-world brightness, color accuracy, input lag, burn-in experience or long-term reliability. It also provides no warranty terms or current retail availability. Treat the response-time figure as a claim rather than a measured result, and check a current regional listing for present-day price and stock.
