If your projects need a large resin build area, Anycubic’s Photon P1 Max is worth considering: the manufacturer lists an 18.3 L build volume and print dimensions of 285.5 × 214 × 300 mm. Its sale price is not universal, though. Anycubic storefronts showed different offers, so check the price and bundle on the official page for your region before buying.
What makes the Photon P1 Max suited to big resin prints?
Anycubic lists the P1 Max’s build volume as 18.3 L, with print dimensions of 285.5 × 214 × 300 mm. That capacity can make it a better fit than a smaller resin printer for a large one-piece model or a build plate arranged with multiple parts. Whether a particular project fits depends on its dimensions and orientation; check the model against all three listed axes, not just its volume.
For comparison, Anycubic lists a 6.5 L build volume for the smaller Photon P1. The P1 Max therefore offers substantially more stated capacity, but a larger build area is useful only if your models, workspace, budget, and post-processing setup can take advantage of it.

Anycubic specifies a 14-inch 12K screen with a resolution of 11,520 × 8,640 pixels and square pixels measuring 24.8 × 24.8 μm. These are manufacturer specifications, not an independent assessment of print detail or surface quality.

Anycubic lists a printing speed of 15–25 mm/h at a 0.05 mm layer height with standard resin. The company says its performance tests use official resins and recommended parameter configurations, and that results can vary with material and environmental conditions. Treat the figure as a qualified manufacturer claim rather than a guaranteed speed for every model or resin.
Is the Photon P1 Max actually on sale?
Anycubic storefronts showed different offers: the main store listing displayed $1,103 with $1,149 crossed out, while the U.S. store listing described an anniversary offer from $849. These are separate regional and storefront snapshots, not interchangeable prices or a promise that either offer remains available. Check the current local listing, date, and included bundle before comparing the deal with another printer.

Anycubic’s store listing also shows resin bundles and optional Wash & Cure 3 Plus and Wash & Cure 3 Max bundles. Bundle contents can affect the total cost, so compare like with like rather than treating the printer-only price and a package price as equivalent.
What else should you budget and plan for?
- Resin: Photopolymer resin is a required consumable. Anycubic says its resins are compatible, but that is the manufacturer’s listing claim; compatibility and results for other formulations were not independently established. Check the resin maker’s guidance and use suitable settings for the material.
- Post-processing: Washing and curing are part of a resin-print workflow. A Wash & Cure station is optional, not a requirement to purchase with the printer. Confirm that any station you choose can accommodate the parts you intend to make.
- Space and operating costs: Compare the machine’s footprint and weight, resin use, and the capacity of your washing and curing setup. The available product details establish the P1 Max’s build capacity but do not settle how its footprint, running costs, or value compare in your own setup.
Which product claims should you verify before ordering?
Anycubic’s product information also lists a precision-ground steel build plate, a 1.9 L vat, NFEP release film, leveling feedback and self-check features, Wi-Fi and LAN, and an integrated camera with app-based remote operation. It advertises 92% light uniformity and quiet printing. These are manufacturer-stated features and claims, not independent test findings. The listing says Air Pure 2.0 requires the accessory.

Consider it if you regularly need to print objects that exceed the Photon P1’s stated capacity, or want more room for a batch layout, and you can accommodate the printer and the larger parts through washing and curing. If your models fit a smaller build area, compare the local price and total workflow cost before paying for extra capacity. The official product pages establish the listed dimensions and features, but do not provide an independent print-quality or value comparison.
