The Anycubic Photon M3 Premium is a large-format MSLA resin printer whose headline specifications are a 10.1-inch 8K monochrome LCD, manufacturer-rated 28.5 μm XY resolution, and a 250 × 123 × 219 mm build envelope. Those figures make it worth considering for detailed resin work, but they do not guarantee a particular print result—and owners should verify replacement-part fit before buying, especially for the LCD.
What the Photon M3 Premium offers
The Photon M3 Premium uses masked stereolithography (MSLA): a light source cures liquid photopolymer resin through an LCD mask, forming each layer. It is a different process from filament printing, and it requires resin handling and post-processing rather than simply removing a finished part from the build plate.
Anycubic’s product specifications describe the machine as an 8K resin printer. The listed figures below are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured performance results. Anycubic’s product listing and its specifications page provide the published details.

| Specification | Manufacturer listing | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Process | MSLA resin printing | Uses liquid photopolymer resin cured by a masked light source. |
| LCD | 10.1-inch monochrome, 7680 × 4320 (8K) | Pixel count alone does not establish visible print quality. |
| XY resolution | 28.5 μm | A nominal pixel-size specification, not a complete quality score. |
| Build volume and dimensions | 6.7 L; 250 × 123 × 219 mm | The explicit printing-dimensions field gives these dimensions. The same product page has an inconsistent alternate rendering of 250 × 220 × 120 mm, so confirm the intended orientation and usable envelope against the dimensions field before comparing it with another printer. |
| Build platform | Laser-carved metal | A manufacturer-listed platform feature. |
| Leveling | Manual, four-point | Do not expect automatic leveling based on the published specification. |
| Rated print speed | Up to 95 mm/hour | A manufacturer rating; actual throughput depends on settings and resin. |
| Data input | USB Type-A 2.0 and Wi-Fi | The listing does not establish that every workflow operation is wireless. |
| Power and weight | 150 W rated power; 19 kg | Manufacturer-listed figures. |
What the 8K and build-size specifications mean
Resolution is one part of print quality
The 7680 × 4320 LCD resolution and 28.5 μm XY figure describe the screen and nominal in-plane pixel size. They are useful when comparing specifications, but a high pixel count does not by itself guarantee successful prints or a particular level of visible detail. Resin choice, exposure, layer height, model orientation, and machine condition also matter.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Print Up To 3X Faster】ANYCUBIC High Speed 3D Printer Resin 2.0 is specially developed for High Speed Resin 3D Printer like Anycubic Photon Mono M5s/M5s Pro/M7/M7 Pro. And the high liquidity of the Anycubic High Speed Resin 2.0 also contributes to rapid curing and less shrinkage. Thus, it is perfect for printing models with fine details, exquisite texture, and smooth finish.
- 【Less Odor than High Speed Resin 1.0】Compared to High Speed Resin 1.0, Anycubic High Speed Resin 2.0 has less odor, providing a healthier printing experience.
The build envelope is comparatively generous for resin printing
At the manufacturer-listed 250 × 123 × 219 mm and 6.7 L, the M3 Premium offers room for larger parts or multiple smaller models in one layout. How much of that capacity is practical depends on the models, supports, and print setup. When comparing dimensions, use Anycubic’s explicit “Printing Dimensions” field; its product page also shows an inconsistent alternate rendering of the same dimensions.
Resin choices and slicer setup
Anycubic publishes Photon M3 Premium profiles for several resin families, including standard, plant-based, DLP Craftsman, tough, water-washable, clear, ABS-like, and high-speed formulations. The manufacturer’s resin settings page is the place to check current starting values. Do not assume an exposure setting transfers unchanged between brands, resin revisions, layer heights, temperatures, or machines; calibrate for the resin and setup you are using.

Replacement film, LCDs, and warranty considerations
Release film is a maintenance item
Anycubic’s Photon-series accessory collection lists release film. Before ordering a third-party film, confirm its dimensions and exact fit for the M3 Premium; a broad “Photon series” label alone is not a fitment guarantee.

Confirm LCD fit before attempting a screen replacement
The same official collection lists a Photon-series LCD category, but that does not confirm that a specific screen is compatible with the Photon M3 Premium or currently in stock. Before buying, ask Anycubic or the seller to verify the exact model, screen dimensions, connector, and any firmware requirements. Owner discussions about difficulty finding M3 Premium screens, or speculation about screens from other printers, are not evidence that a cross-model replacement will work.
Check the terms that apply to your purchase
Anycubic’s US warranty policy lists a three-month warranty for M3-series LCD screens and excludes damage from resin leakage, damage to scratch-resistant film, man-made damage, and collisions. Coverage can vary with market, seller, purchase date, and policy version, so check the terms attached to your own purchase before treating that period or those exclusions as definitive.

Who should consider it—and what remains uncertain
The M3 Premium may suit a resin-printing buyer who values a relatively large published build envelope and wants a high-resolution monochrome LCD. Its manual four-point leveling and resin-specific calibration needs are part of the ownership picture, not details to infer away from the 8K label.
