To unlock Irisalis in Aniimo, reach Student I, open Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure—Iris Companion, collect Iris Petals, and craft Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. The official update confirms that crafting this pod opens the Rift Space where Irisalis resides. The exact petal cost, complete source list, and map coordinates are not specified in the announcement, so use the event’s in-game How to Obtain panel for the current checklist and your progress.
How to unlock Irisalis
- Reach Student I. The official event notice lists Student I as the requirement for the Iris Companion stage.
- Open the event stage. Go to Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure—Iris Companion and check its How to Obtain panel. It shows the available Iris Petal sources, amounts, limits, and completion status, according to the MOANIIMO guide. Treat the panel in your own game as the live reference.
- Collect the required Iris Petals. The official notice says a required number is needed but does not give a total. Collect petals from the sources listed in the event panel and track the progress there.
- Craft Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. The official notice confirms that crafting the pod unlocks the Rift Space where Irisalis resides.
- Enter the Rift Space and befriend Irisalis. Befriending Irisalis unlocks its exclusive Transmog ability.
Where to find Iris Petals
The official September 23 update notice confirms that the event adds a weekly-limited Iris Petal source, but it does not list every source or give precise locations. MOANIIMO describes a mix of weekly repeatable sources and permanent tasks, while a separate location guide reports categories such as open-world pickups, first-time Alpha clears, and collection badges. Those are guide-reported categories, not a complete developer-confirmed list.
For the most reliable route, open the event stage’s How to Obtain panel and work through the sources shown there. Check the listed amount, maximum, repeat status, and completion status before spending time revisiting a task. The panel’s checklist is more useful than a static location list when source availability or progress can change.
Petal totals and exact locations: what is confirmed
- Confirmed by Aniimo: Student I is required for the Iris Companion stage; an Iris Petal source is weekly-limited; crafting the Irisalis pod opens Irisalis’s Rift Space.
- Not specified in the official update: the exact number of petals required, a complete source-by-source list, and map coordinates.
- Secondary-guide figures: one guide reports a 99-petal goal, but the developer’s notice does not confirm that figure. Check the in-game requirement rather than treating it as an official total.

Do not confuse the two Legendary Aniipods
Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis is the pod used to open Irisalis’s Rift Space. The update also describes a separate Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure, which guarantees capture and specified seasonal perks for the Aniimo captured with it. That pod has a different purpose and is not the Irisalis Rift Space unlock.
