Current Aniimo pod prices in Glimmer or another currency are not established in the official public information available here, so check the live shop in your region rather than relying on an online price list. What is documented is how each capture item affects catch chance—and the formula has no general “capture luck” multiplier. Lucky strikes are a separate feature that rewards items and can affect local Prismatic Energy.
Are Aniimo catching pod prices publicly listed?
The official probability page explains item effects but does not state current shop prices. To compare costs, open the in-game shop and note the item, currency, quantity, server or region, and date shown. Prices can be checked against the live regional listing; no public figure here establishes what a pod costs today.
Some items have been offered through events rather than necessarily being available for purchase. The official mobile launch announcement named Sparkling Cubes, Aniipod Ultras, and Tumblers among items obtainable through launch activities and events, but that does not establish that those rewards remain claimable. The official formula lists the following item multipliers. A multiplier applies within the applicable catch formula; it is not a standalone probability or a price comparison.

These effects come from the official Aniimo Probability Details. The right choice depends on the target and situation: a larger multiplier is not automatically better value when prices are unknown, and guaranteed-success items have a different outcome from items that improve calculated odds.
What determines capture chance?
Aniimo’s official formula uses different factors depending on whether the encounter is in combat. “Base Catch Chance” already includes Pathfinder’s Catch Bonus from Branches or Regional Badges.

- In combat: Base Catch Chance × Aniipod Multiplier × Level Multiplier × HP Multiplier × Aniimo Status Multiplier.
- Alpha Aniimo: Alpha Aniimo Base Catch Chance × Aniipod Multiplier.
A calculated chance at or above 100% guarantees success. The probability page says standard single-target Aniipod use makes two chance checks, with their combined success rate equal to Final Catch Chance; other capture methods make one check.
Base chance varies by area and stage
The official values are configured by area tier and Aniimo stage, not dynamically by the target’s level. Percentages below are in Lumin / Gamma / Nova order.

The same page lists Alpha base chance as 6%. For common Alpha Aniimo, its expanded details say the chance is 0% while alive and 6% after defeat. Encounter-specific story rules can override the calculation, so follow the live encounter’s behavior rather than assuming the general formula controls every scripted result.
Level difference can reduce your odds
The level multiplier is ×1 when the target is no more than 10 levels above the player. At larger gaps, the official values are:

Combat HP, back attacks, and status effects
In combat, lower target HP improves the HP multiplier. The official table gives ×0.8 at 100% HP, ×0.9 at 90%, ×1 at 80%, ×1.1 at 50%, ×1.26 at 10%, ×1.65 at 5%, and ×2 at 0%.

Outside combat, a valid back attack contributes ×1.5. That bonus does not apply to Tumblers. Status effects also affect the calculation: if any active status has a multiplier below one, the lowest such multiplier is used; otherwise, the highest applicable bonus is used. Listed examples include Break ×1.5, Break catch bonus ×3, and ordinary Sleep, Stun, Eating, Woozy, or Lured at ×2. Some special conditions have higher listed multipliers, while Rampaging, Bubble Barrier, Umbral, and already-owned targets can make capture prohibited and set chance to zero.

Use the live capture chance display for the current encounter; the formula can be altered by target state, and story encounters may force success or failure. The official values and conditions are on the Probability Details page.

The published catch formula does not include a general luck stat or luck multiplier. It names the factors above, so community anecdotes about “lucky catches” do not establish a separate percentage or prove that a particular pod raises luck.
Aniimo does have a separate launch-described mechanic called lucky strikes. The developer team says lucky strikes grant item rewards, increase an area’s Prismatic Energy, and may trigger Prismana Flow, which attracts Prismana Aniimo. The developer letter does not publish a lucky-strike trigger percentage, and this feature should not be confused with the catch chance formula: Aniimo Dev Team letter.
Irisalis uses a dedicated capture route
Irisalis is not presented as a normal pod-shop purchase. The official route is to find Legendary Tokens through exploration and story progress, craft a personal Legendary Aniipod, then complete the dedicated encounter and use that crafted item to catch Irisalis. The Aniimo Dev Team described the redesign this way: “No more repeating the challenge in the hope of a successful catch.” See the developer letter for the encounter details.
