A FurMark listing reported 1,097 points at 1440p and 542 at 4K for an AMD sample later associated with the rumored Ryzen 9000G. Those figures are a single graphics stress-test result—not a retail review or evidence of gaming frame rates. The chip’s identity is also unresolved: AMD’s later desktop APU launch used Ryzen AI 400 G and GE names, and the leaked sample’s base identifier appears on AMD’s specifications for a mobile Ryzen AI 7 450.
What did the early Ryzen 9000G benchmark reportedly show?
Tweakers reported on June 20, 2025, that FurMark had recorded results for a sample identified as 100-000001868-30_Y. The reported figures were a maximum clock of 3.1 GHz, a graphics score of 1,097 at 1440p, and 542 at 4K. Tweakers also cited power readings of 47 W at 1440p and 50 W at 4K, while noting that these readings may represent the complete processor because FurMark primarily stresses graphics.

These are leak-reported values attributed to one database entry, not results published by AMD. The report suggested the sample could be a prototype intended for developer testing. Tweakers’ report contains the original figures and comparison context.

How much do the scores tell us about graphics performance?
On the comparison figures cited by Tweakers, the alleged sample scored about 1% above a Radeon 780M at 1440p and about 5% below it at 4K; it was below the Radeon 890M in that context. These are cross-listing comparisons, not controlled tests on the same system. They should not be read as a reliable performance ranking, much less converted into expected game frame rates.
#1 Best Overall
- The world’s fastest gaming processor, built on AMD ‘Zen5’ technology and Next Gen 3D V-Cache.
- 8 cores and 16 threads, delivering +~16% IPC uplift and great power efficiency
- 96MB L3 cache with better thermal performance vs. previous gen and allowing higher clock speeds, up to 5.2GHz
- Drop-in ready for proven Socket AM5 infrastructure
- Cooler not included
FurMark is a graphics stress test, so this entry does not establish CPU performance in productivity applications or games. Nor does it show how a finished processor would perform in a retail system. The listing does not disclose enough about the exact device, memory, operating system, driver, cooling, or test procedure to reproduce the result. For a meaningful APU comparison, those details matter alongside resolution, graphics settings, memory speed and channel configuration, power limits, and software version. PC Games Hardware likewise cautioned that the database entry could not support firm conclusions about future APU performance. PC Games Hardware’s coverage treated the part as an engineering sample and its future specifications as uncertain.
Was the tested chip really a Ryzen 9000G?
That identification is not confirmed. The 2025 report associated the sample with the rumored Ryzen 9000G family, but the identifier alone does not prove it was a retail Ryzen 9000G desktop APU. AMD’s official specifications list the base part number 100-000001868 for the mobile Ryzen AI 7 450. The leaked sample’s identifier begins with that same base number, but a match is not proof of exactly what hardware ran FurMark.

- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Gaming and Content Creation Processor
- Max. Boost Clock : Up to 5.7 GHz; Base Clock: 4.3 GHz
- Form Factor: Desktops , Boxed Processor
- Architecture: Zen 5; Former Codename: Granite Ridge AM5
AMD later announced Ryzen AI 400 desktop processors for AM5 under G and GE model names. That official launch clarifies the desktop naming AMD announced, but it does not establish whether “Ryzen 9000G” was a canceled plan, an internal label, or simply a rumor. The careful conclusion is that the leak’s device identity remains unresolved—not that AMD confirmed a Ryzen 9000G benchmark.
What did AMD officially announce for AM5 desktops?
On March 2, 2026, AMD announced Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series desktop processors. Its announced AM5 desktop lineup included Ryzen AI 7 450G, Ryzen AI 5 440G, Ryzen AI 5 435G, and corresponding GE models. AMD specified Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and an XDNA 2 NPU for the series, and said OEM desktop systems were expected from Q2 2026. That was an expected availability window, not confirmation that any particular model is currently in stock. AMD’s announcement gives the official lineup and launch details.

- Pure gaming performance with smooth 100+ FPS in the world's most popular games
- 6 Cores and 12 processing threads, based on AMD "Zen 5" architecture
- 5.4 GHz Max Boost, unlocked for overclocking, 38 MB cache, DDR5-5600 support
- For the state-of-the-art Socket AM5 platform, can support PCIe 5.0 on select motherboards
- Cooler not included
The official Ryzen AI 7 450 specification listing uses the base part number 100-000001868; AMD’s desktop announcement identifies the corresponding desktop naming as 450G. Together, these details make the old FurMark code insufficient to settle the sample’s exact identity. AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 450 specifications show the listed identifier.
How does the leak compare with a known AM5 APU?
AMD’s Ryzen 7 8700G is a documented earlier-generation AM5 desktop APU with 8 cores, 16 threads, Radeon 780M graphics, and a 65 W TDP. AMD announced it at a suggested price of $329 in 2024. Those specifications offer product context, not a direct performance comparison with the FurMark sample: the 8700G figures are not results from the same test, system, or conditions. AMD’s Ryzen 7 8700G product page lists its specifications.
