AMD’s October 5, 2026 release notes introduce an Adrenalin Edition Windows driver package for ROCm 10.1, version 26.10.41.05. AMD lists Radeon RX 9000 Series, Radeon AI PRO R9700 Series, and Radeon RX 7900, 7800, 7700, and 7600 Series as compatible families. Exact support depends on the GPU and operating system, so verify your configuration in AMD’s ROCm 10.1.0 compatibility matrix before installing.
What AMD released
AMD’s release notes, dated October 5, 2026, describe “AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition for ROCm 10.1.” The Windows driver package is version 26.10.41.05; its Windows Driver Store version is 32.0.31041.5005.
“Dedicated ROCm 10.1 driver” is a useful shorthand, but this is an Adrenalin Edition driver package for Windows associated with ROCm support—not the entire ROCm software stack or the only way to install ROCm. AMD’s release notes say: “After installing the driver package above, proceed to the ROCm documentation”.
Which Radeon GPUs are listed?
The release notes identify these compatible product families:

For model-level detail, consult AMD’s ROCm 10.1.0 compatibility matrix. It lists RX 9070 XT, RX 9070 GRE, RX 9070, RX 9060 XT and other RX 9000 models, as well as RX 7900 XTX, RX 7900 XT, RX 7900 GRE, RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT, RX 7700, and RX 7600. The matrix also includes Radeon AI PRO and Radeon PRO product families.
A family name alone is not enough to confirm a working configuration. AMD cautions that support can vary by specific GPU or APU; check the exact model, operating system, and AMD driver version in the matrix.

Windows versions and compatibility checks
The release notes specify Windows 11 version 21H2 and later, and Windows 10 64-bit version 1809 and later. AMD also says operating-system support varies by Radeon product. These are the package’s stated operating-system requirements, not a guarantee that every listed GPU works on every version.

- Open AMD’s compatibility matrix and check the GPU, operating system, and AMD driver combination together.
- If the combination is listed, use the ROCm 10.1 driver release notes for the Windows package details, then follow the ROCm documentation for setup.
Does installing the driver finish ROCm setup?
No. The release notes direct users to continue to ROCm documentation after installing the Windows driver package. AMD’s ROCm 10.1 installation guide outlines multiple installation routes, including package-manager installation for Linux, amdgpu-install for Radeon and Ryzen, pip, tarball, and runfile methods. The appropriate route depends on the platform and configuration; use the compatibility matrix to check system requirements rather than assuming the Windows Adrenalin package installs every ROCm component.
