AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.7.1, released July 19, 2024, added Radeon Anti-Lag 2 support for Dota 2 when the game uses DirectX 11, plus support for Zenless Zone Zero and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. AMD also listed selected stutter fixes and reported performance gains for Kunitsu-Gami; those figures are AMD’s own results, not independent benchmarks. This is a historical Windows driver release, not confirmation of the latest driver in October 2026. AMD’s 24.7.1 release notes provide the scope and caveats.

What changed in Adrenalin 24.7.1?

The July 19, 2024 release notes group the changes into game support, a Dota 2 latency feature, and fixes. They do not give a performance uplift for Zenless Zone Zero.

New game support

  • Zenless Zone Zero
  • Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Expanded HYPR-Tune support

AMD added HYPR-Tune support for Gray Zone Warfare, Lords of the Fallen, RoboCop: Rogue City, and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.

Does Radeon Anti-Lag 2 work in Dota 2?

Yes, with a specific API requirement: AMD says Anti-Lag 2 supports Dota 2 while using DirectX 11. AMD describes the feature as an in-game option to pace frames and reduce input lag on AMD RDNA architecture-based discrete and integrated graphics products. That is AMD’s description of intended behavior, not a guarantee of a particular latency reduction on every system.

How to use the latency monitor

With Anti-Lag 2 enabled, AMD lists these keyboard controls:

  • Press Alt+Shift+L to activate the latency monitor and cycle through its display options.
  • Hold Right Ctrl to compare Anti-Lag 2 on against off.

What performance gains did AMD report for Kunitsu-Gami?

AMD reported the following results for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess at 4K, comparing Adrenalin 24.7.1 with 24.6.1. “Up to” describes AMD’s reported maximum, not a result every player should expect.

Graphics card AMD-reported performance increase
Radeon RX 7900 XTX Up to 16%
Radeon RX 7800 XT Up to 12%
Radeon RX 7600 XT Up to 12%

AMD’s release notes identify separate test-note references RS-663, RS-664, and RS-665 for these claims. For the RX 7900 XTX result (RS-663), AMD specifies a test conducted July 16, 2024, on a system with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32 GB DDR5, the RX 7900 XTX, and Windows 11 Pro. The release-note details available for that claim do not establish the exact test configuration for the RX 7800 XT or RX 7600 XT results, so those systems should not be assumed to match.

What issues does Adrenalin 24.7.1 fix?

AMD lists stutter improvements in two cases:

  • When Radeon Anti-Lag and FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 frame generation are enabled.
  • In Fortnite using DirectX 12.

What known issues remain?

AMD’s notes also flag problems that may affect some games, applications, or display configurations. The release is not risk-free simply because it includes fixes.

Who can install this driver?

AMD identifies Adrenalin 24.7.1 as a 64-bit driver for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Installation requires an administrator account or administrator rights. AMD says the package is not intended for Radeon products running in Apple Boot Camp. The release notes point to separate AMD instructions for installing or uninstalling AMD Software.

Is Adrenalin 24.7.1 still the latest driver?

The release notes establish what AMD announced in July 2024; they do not establish whether 24.7.1 remains the latest, recommended, or available driver in October 2026. Later releases may supersede its game-support list and known-issues list. Check AMD’s current driver listings for a present-day recommendation rather than treating this historical version as current.
