Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days made its own-brand Ember TVs cheaper in the UK, but the reported prices were temporary: T3 listed the 43-inch Ember 4-Series at £229 and the 55-inch Ember Mini-LED at £599 for the sale running October 6–7, 2026. The 4-Series is the lower-cost 4K option; the Mini-LED model costs more for a larger screen, Mini-LED backlighting, Dolby Vision support and a reported 144Hz refresh rate.
Which Amazon Ember TV is the better deal?
It depends on whether the lower price or the more capable display matters more. At the October 6, 2026 sale prices reported by T3, the 43-inch 4-Series was £200 below its £429 list price, while the 55-inch Mini-LED was £250 below its £849 list price. Those are sale figures, not evidence of permanent price cuts or current availability.

Ember 4-Series: lower price and a simpler spec
The 43-inch 4-Series gives you a 4K screen, HDR10+ and HDMI eARC at the lower of the two reported prices. Its 60Hz refresh rate is the key limitation for gaming: it may not make full use of higher frame rates available from newer consoles or gaming PCs. It also lacks Dolby Vision, so check whether that format matters for the content you watch.

HDMI eARC can carry audio from a TV to compatible sound equipment, such as a soundbar. The cited deal coverage does not test or recommend a particular soundbar.
Ember Mini-LED: larger screen and higher-end picture features
The 55-inch model adds Mini-LED backlighting and QLED color, and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. T3 describes it as the brighter, more gaming-capable choice and reports a 144Hz refresh rate. That makes it the more feature-rich option on paper, but the deal coverage is not a controlled comparison test, so it does not establish how the TVs perform against each other in measured brightness, contrast or gaming latency.

Fire TV, apps and channels
T3 says the Ember TVs use Fire TV and names UK catch-up channels, Netflix and Disney+ among the services accessible through the interface. App support can vary by exact model, region and time, so confirm that the services you need are available on the specific listing before buying.

If neither Ember fits, T3 points to Xiaomi, TCL, Hisense and Haier as alternatives, and calls the TCL C7K its usual high-end-but-affordable choice. Treat these as models and brands to investigate, not as a tested head-to-head recommendation: the cited coverage does not supply full competitor specifications, current prices or comparative measurements. Compare screen size, display/backlight type, HDR formats, refresh rate and connections on the exact models you are considering.

Why Amazon is expanding its Fire TV range
Amazon’s own explanation is that televisions are an area of growth for Fire TV. In an official company article, Daniel Rausch, Amazon’s vice president of Entertainment Devices and Services, said: “Televisions are the fastest growing segment in the Fire TV business. When customers love something, we double down.” This is Amazon’s statement, not an independently measured statistic about Ember sales or market share.
