Electronic Arts confirmed in September 2024 that Amazon MGM Studios is working on a film based on The Sims. Margot Robbie is attached as a producer through LuckyChap, but the reports cited here do not confirm that she will act in the movie. Director Kate Herron is co-writing it with Briony Redman.
