Disney+ is the streaming home for Star Wars, but the titles available depend on your country or region and profile settings. There is no single live list that guarantees every film and show is available to every subscriber. Search the title in your local Disney+ app for the definitive answer, and use StarWars.com’s official guide if you want to choose a viewing order.
What Star Wars content can you find on Disney+?
The Star Wars collection is broader than the Skywalker saga films and headline live-action series. StarWars.com’s viewing guide covers films and series, and also points to documentaries, specials, vintage animated series, and shorts. The official Star Wars series index is useful for discovering shows, including titles such as Maul – Shadow Lord, Skeleton Crew, The Acolyte, Tales of the Empire, Ahsoka, Young Jedi Adventures, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tales of the Jedi, and The Bad Batch. It identifies Maul – Shadow Lord and The Ninth Jedi as streaming on Disney+, but it is not an exhaustive catalog for every territory.

Disney says a subscription includes access to the locally available Disney+ library, and that content may vary by country or region. Titles are added over time, so a franchise guide is a discovery aid—not a guarantee that every listed title is playable in your location today. The Star Wars hub on Disney+ is another place to explore franchise material and trailers, but it should not be treated as a complete territory-by-territory inventory.

How to check whether a specific Star Wars title is available
- Open Disney+ in the country or region where you plan to watch. Use the app or DisneyPlus.com; availability can differ when you travel.
- Search the exact film or series title. Disney says results begin appearing as you type a show, film, or actor name. See Disney’s guide to navigating Disney+.
- If no result appears, check profile controls. Review the profile’s content-rating settings and confirm that Junior Mode or the “Not Rated & Live Content” setting is not filtering the title. Disney lists these as possible reasons content may not appear; see Disney’s content-availability help page.
- Browse by category if you are exploring. Disney+ offers Originals, Movies, and Series sections. Their placement can vary across web, mobile, and TV-connected devices.
Disney’s getting-started help page, published August 17, 2026, describes access to the locally available library. The local app search remains the practical title-level check.

What order should you watch Star Wars in?
There are two sensible starting points: release order, which follows how audiences encountered the stories, and chronological order, which follows the in-universe timeline. StarWars.com provides both in its Star Wars Movies and Series Viewing Guide, published May 1, 2025. The guide’s framing is that “Whichever order you choose…is the right one!”—it does not declare one order objectively best.
| Order | Best fit | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Release order | You want to follow the films and series in the order they were released and preserve their original reveal and franchise context. | It does not follow the events’ in-universe chronology. |
| Chronological order | You want to follow the broad timeline and the progression of eras and characters. | Some stories overlap or span time periods, so strict chronology is not always simple. The guide notes that the Tales anthologies span a wide stretch of time, Andor and Rebels take place concurrently before Rogue One, and Resistance starts before The Force Awakens and continues beyond it. |
The May 2025 guide’s chronological sequence includes The Acolyte; the prequel films; The Clone Wars film and series; anthology entries; The Bad Batch; Maul – Shadow Lord; Solo; Obi-Wan Kenobi; Andor; Rebels; Rogue One; the original trilogy; New Republic-era series; and the sequel trilogy. Because Star Wars releases continue and the guide is dated, check Disney+ locally for current access and the official index for newer series listings.

Why a title may be missing
- Regional catalog differences: Disney says the available library can vary by country or region, and availability may change while travelling.
- Profile restrictions: Parental controls, content-rating limits, or Junior Mode may hide titles from a profile.
- Catalog changes: The service adds titles over time, so an older viewing guide may not reflect all current listings.
The assignment does not specify a country, and the official sources do not provide a live, exhaustive title-by-title list for every territory as of October 4, 2026. For “Is this Star Wars movie or show on Disney+?”, search the exact title in your own local account.
