Below is the full roster and each reported condition, with the unlock checklist attributed to Raider King’s October 3, 2026 guide rather than presented as an official publisher list.
How the roster and unlock information are sourced
KOEI TECMO’s official character roster names the officers, and the publisher’s Tokyo Game Show listing identifies 42 featured officers. KOEI TECMO America’s October 1, 2026 launch announcement says the remaster adds scenarios featuring officers obtained by meeting specific conditions. It does not provide a character-by-character checklist. The exact unlock conditions below are paraphrased from Skeith Ruch’s Raider King guide, published October 3, 2026.

Which unlock route to tackle first
The reported requirements fall into two practical groups: Musou Mode progression and objectives inside named battles. The guide does not provide completion-time comparisons, so this is a way to organize the conditions, not a measured fastest-route ranking.

Build toward several Musou Mode unlocks
Clearing Musou Mode with eligible faction characters can satisfy requirements for multiple officers. Wu, Shu, and Wei each have characters requiring one or two clears with that faction; Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi also accept clears with either of two factions. Some unlocks depend on a particular officer, such as Jiang Wei’s requirement to clear as Zhuge Liang. Fuxi and Nuwa have multi-character requirements spanning their listed officers.
Watch for specific battle objectives
Several characters are tied to a single named scenario, with conditions such as keeping an officer alive, forcing a surrender, reaching a KO threshold, or defeating a target. These objectives are more specific than a standard victory, so check the relevant row before starting the stage and prioritize the named action when it appears.

- Check the roster first. Compare your available officers with the default characters listed above.
- Pick a target unlock. Note its faction, required Musou Mode clear, or named battle objective.
- Complete the stated requirement. For a stage condition, follow the precise action in the table rather than assuming a normal stage clear is enough.
- Verify the character appears as unlocked. If it does not, check that the required officer was used, survived, surrendered, or was defeated as specified; the cited guide does not document a separate in-game verification menu.
