As reported by Tom’s Hardware on October 6, 2026, Amazon’s Big Deal Days cut the Alienware AW3426DW to $629.99 from $799.99 and the AW2725DF to $469.99 from $649.99. The report described both prices as record lows, but these are dated deal figures—not confirmation that either price or stock is still available.

Choose the 34-inch AW3426DW for a 3440 × 1440 ultrawide display rated up to 280 Hz. Choose the 26.7-inch AW2725DF for a conventional 16:9 QHD screen that can reach 360 Hz over DisplayPort. The best fit depends on the screen format you want, your desk and system, and which connection you will use.

Which monitor should you buy?

Pick the AW3426DW for an ultrawide setup

The AW3426DW is the more suitable choice if you want a wider 34-inch screen for compatible games and other applications, and you value its 3440 × 1440 resolution over the AW2725DF’s conventional 16:9 layout. Tom’s Hardware reports a maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz and describes five-layer tandem technology. Its report also says the reviewer found the display accurate out of the box and measured 105% DCI-P3 coverage after minor adjustments; those are the publication’s findings, not independently verified specifications in Dell documentation.

Pick the AW2725DF for a 360 Hz 16:9 display

The AW2725DF is the better fit if you prefer a 26.7-inch QHD monitor and want the higher listed refresh rate. Dell specifies 360 Hz over DisplayPort but only 144 Hz over HDMI, so check your graphics card, cable, and intended connection before buying if 360 Hz is important. Dell also lists a typical gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 ms; that is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee of identical results in every setup.

Is the 27-inch 360 Hz model better than the 34-inch ultrawide?

Not universally. The AW2725DF has the higher maximum refresh rate, but it is a smaller 16:9 screen, and its 360 Hz mode depends on DisplayPort. The AW3426DW offers the wider 34-inch 3440 × 1440 format, with a reported maximum of 280 Hz. Refresh rate alone does not determine which monitor is better: decide whether you prefer a conventional screen or ultrawide, then weigh the supported connection, your computer’s capabilities, and the games or work you do.
