The monitor in the reported deal was the Alienware AW3423DWF, a curved 34-inch QD-OLED gaming display. HotHardware reported it at $679.99, with a $68 Dell Rewards coupon bringing the pre-tax price to $611.99 and the claimed total savings to $288. That was a 2024 offer—not a verified price available today.
What the $288-off deal actually included
HotHardware’s 2024 report combined a sale price and a Dell Rewards coupon: $679.99 minus $68, or $611.99 before tax. The report described that as $288 in total savings. Those figures document the offer reported at the time; they are not a current quote or an independently verified price-history record. HotHardware’s deal report is the source for the arithmetic.
The “all-time low” wording belongs to that historical report. The available evidence does not establish a market-wide price history proving an all-time low, and it does not verify that the sale or coupon remains available. Check the exact model, live checkout price, coupon eligibility, and shipping terms before treating any listing as the same deal.
Which Alienware monitor was on sale?
It was the AW3423DWF—not the later AW3425DW or AW3426DW. The AW3423DWF is a curved 34-inch QD-OLED with a 3440×1440 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. HotHardware lists refresh up to 100Hz over HDMI, 1,000-nit peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and FreeSync Premium Pro. Its listed connections are HDMI 2.0, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, audio-out, and headphone-out. These are specifications attributed to the deal report, not a new test. #1 Best Overall
- INFINITELY IMMERSIVE: Quantum Dot Display Technology enables a slim panel design and delivers a superior color performance with a higher peak luminance and greater color gamut range vs WOLED (White OLED) by taking the impressive qualities of OLED (such as true blacks & infinite contrast ratio) and enhances color performance by directly converting blue light into the primary colors of red and green through a Quantum Dot pixel layer.
- STUTTER-FREE SPEED: Experience ultra-low latency gameplay, support for HDR and cinematic color, plus smooth, tear-free gaming thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Technology and VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification.
- IMPECCABLE DESIGN: The jaw-dropping new design features a sleek QD-OLED curved 1800R panel integrated into the iconic new Legend 2.0 ID, plus customizable RGB AlienFX lighting, 360° ventilation for better heat dissipation, improved cable management and a new centralized OSD 5-Axis joystick to make adjusting your settings easier. The height adjustable stand with height markers and the tilt, swivel, and slant capabilities allow for easy viewing adjustment.
- FOR CRITICAL CREATING: For content creators and game developers who require precise color-critical work, the new Creator Mode feature was designed for you. This OSD menu option allows you the flexibility to choose between the native (DCI-P3) and the sRGB color space, depending on your work needs, and the ability to adjust the gamma settings.
- QUALITY ASSURANCE GUARANTEED: The new Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor comes with improved OLED reliability and a 3-year premium warranty, including coverage for OLED burn-in, for additional peace of mind.
How it differs from newer 34-inch Alienware QD-OLEDs
Successor models offer higher refresh rates, but their features and prices should not be assigned to the AW3423DWF. The Dell listing and 2026 reviews below refer to other model numbers.
| Model | Resolution and refresh rate | Price context | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| AW3423DWF | 3440×1440; 165Hz, or 100Hz over HDMI | $611.99 before tax was reported in a 2024 offer after applying a $68 coupon to a $679.99 sale price | HotHardware, 2024; historical deal, not verified as current |
| AW3425DW | 240Hz; resolution not stated in the cited Dell listing | Dell showed $749.99 against a $799.99 estimated value when accessed on 2026-10-04 | Dell listing; Dell says estimated value can draw on industry data, including third-party offers or valuations, and may not reflect actual sales |

How to judge a listing today
Start with the full model number. A price for an AW3425DW or AW3426DW does not confirm the value or availability of an AW3423DWF. Then compare the exact features that matter to your setup:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Refresh rate and connection: The AW3423DWF’s cited rate is 165Hz, falling to 100Hz over HDMI. Confirm the display output your computer supports and which input you will use.
- Ports: Compare the monitor’s available video and USB connections with your computer and peripherals; the AW3423DWF’s cited port list is not interchangeable with a successor’s.
- Panel and work use: QD-OLED and a high refresh rate may suit gaming, but the supplied product details do not establish text clarity, pixel density suitability, or performance for a particular desk setup. Consider those needs directly rather than assuming a gaming specification settles them.
- Warranty: Verify coverage for the exact model and region in the current warranty terms. The burn-in coverage cited by reviewers applies to the AW3426DW and does not establish AW3423DWF coverage.
- Final price: Confirm whether a displayed price requires a coupon or account, whether the coupon applies at checkout, and what the total is before tax. An estimated value is not the same as a documented previous transaction price.
A higher refresh rate is a meaningful difference if your games and system can use it. If your priority is simply a QD-OLED ultrawide, a newer model’s extra refresh may not alone justify its price premium; Windows Central similarly notes that shoppers who do not need the new generation may find the AW3425DW more affordable. That is the publication’s assessment, not a universal value verdict. Windows Central’s AW3426DW review.

PC Gamer’s reviewer predicted, “I doubt it will be very long before the new AW3426DW is offered at some kind of discount over its $799 launch price by Alienware.” That is a reviewer’s forecast about the AW3426DW, not evidence of a discount on the AW3423DWF. PC Gamer’s review.
