The Aiper IrriSense 2 is a hose-connected, app-controlled irrigation system designed to automate watering without installing in-ground sprinkler lines. It combines a sprinkler, irrigation controller, electric valve and nutrient dispenser, with mapping and schedules for up to 10 zones. Its advertised reach and water savings are manufacturer claims, not independently verified results, so whether it suits your yard depends on its layout, water supply, power and Wi-Fi access.
What is the Aiper IrriSense 2?
Aiper describes the IrriSense 2 as a 4-in-1 smart sprinkler and irrigation system. It connects to a garden hose and uses an electric valve and rotating sprinkler to deliver scheduled watering. Through the Aiper app, users can map areas, lines and points, set up to 10 irrigation zones, adjust schedules, receive notifications and track water use. The system also includes a nutrient-dispensing feature compatible with Aiper’s SoilPulse organic soil amendment, which is sold separately. Aiper’s product page presents it as an alternative to an in-ground sprinkler installation; that positioning is not an independent comparison of cost or watering performance.
What are the IrriSense 2’s range and water requirements?
Aiper advertises coverage of up to 4,800 sq ft (445 m²) and a spray range of up to 39 ft (12 m). These are maximum manufacturer-stated figures, not measurements of uniform coverage across every yard. Obstacles, wind, yard shape and water supply may affect results, so compare the published limits with your actual lawn and planting areas rather than assuming the maximum will be reached.
Aiper lists compatibility with 5/8-inch and 3/4-inch garden hoses. Its dealer portal specification for the US-market IrriSense N2 lists an input flow of 26 L/min (6.8 GPM) and input pressure of 3.1 bar (45 PSI) for a 12 m spray distance. Those detailed figures are published for the N2 variant; confirm the manual and specifications for the exact model and market you are buying. Aiper Authorized Direct Dealers’ specification page also lists coverage of 222–445 m² (2,400–4,800 sq ft), IPX7 waterproofing and operating temperatures of 0–40°C (32–104°F) for that product listing.

Is IrriSense 2 right for your yard?
It is most worth considering if you want scheduled, app-managed watering but do not want to install an in-ground sprinkler system, and your setup has the connections the system needs. Before buying, check these practical fit questions:
- Can you place it where it can reach the lawn? Compare the yard’s dimensions and shape with Aiper’s maximum range and coverage claims. Check for trees, buildings, paths or separate planting beds that could interrupt the spray.
- Is there power and Wi-Fi at the installation spot? Aiper’s described smart setup includes a power connection and Wi-Fi connection as well as the hose.
- Can your hose and water supply meet the requirements? Confirm hose size and check the exact model’s flow and pressure specifications against your supply.
- Will the mapped zones suit your layout? Aiper offers area, line and point mapping, but available evidence does not independently establish how accurately the system handles irregular boundaries, slopes, wind or separated beds. Verify that its mapping options fit your site and keep spray away from sidewalks and buildings.
Aiper estimates setup at 15 minutes. Treat that as the manufacturer’s estimate rather than a tested installation time; the actual effort may depend on placement, connectivity and configuring the map and schedule.

Can IrriSense 2 save water?
Aiper claims “up to 40%” water conservation through targeted zones and weather-aware scheduling, while explicitly noting that actual savings vary with yard size, weather, water pressure and usage habits. The figure is not a guaranteed or typical saving: no independent measured IrriSense 2 water-savings result is established here.
The underlying idea is to schedule watering by mapped areas and adjust for weather rather than applying the same watering routine everywhere. Whether that reduces your water use depends on how you set up the zones and schedules and on conditions at your property. Aiper’s claims about weather response should not be taken as proof of a particular rain-response result or savings level for your yard.

What should you verify before relying on it?
Published product information explains the features and maximum specifications, but it does not establish independent results for coverage uniformity, actual water consumption, mapping accuracy, noise, outdoor stability, app performance or fertilizer usefulness. If these factors matter to your purchase, look for evidence specific to your yard and model, and check the applicable regional manual, support and warranty terms before committing.
- Whether the spray reaches the areas you intend to water without overspray.
- Whether your water pressure and flow produce satisfactory coverage.
- Whether app mapping and schedule editing are practical for your layout.
- How the system behaves in local weather and wind conditions.
- Whether the optional nutrient-dispensing feature is useful to you after accounting for the separately sold SoilPulse amendment.
Warranty and regional model details
Aiper US and EU Store search listings state a two-year product warranty from purchase, but the full terms and regional eligibility are not established here. Confirm the warranty that applies to your country, seller and purchase date. Product naming and technical specifications can also vary by market: the dealer portal’s detailed specifications are listed under “IrriSense N2,” so verify the exact variant rather than assuming every IrriSense 2 listing has identical requirements.
