For Global servers, plan around a 07:00 UTC daily reset and a Wednesday 07:00 UTC weekly reset. That is 16:00 in Korea Standard Time. Some Korea- or Taiwan-focused pages show 05:00 server time instead, so the countdown in your own Aion 2 client is the final authority when published schedules disagree.

Missing a reset normally does not create an extra day or stack fixed attempts. Weekly entries refill at the Wednesday boundary but unused entries do not accumulate beyond their stated allowance. A few activities use rechargeable charges that bank to a cap, which is a different system from a daily reward or entry counter.

What time does Aion 2 reset?

Current 2026 references from Aion2Data and Aion2Maps place the Global-server daily reset at 07:00 UTC every day. The weekly reset occurs at 07:00 UTC every Wednesday. In Korea Standard Time, that is 16:00 (4 p.m.) because KST is nine hours ahead of UTC.

These times describe the service clock used by Global-server data. They are not a promise that every regional client displays the same clock label. Korea- and Taiwan-oriented pages commonly show 05:00 server time for the daily reset and Wednesday for the weekly reset. That display can reflect a regional server-clock convention rather than a different activity schedule.

When a guide, website or remembered schedule conflicts with the timer in your client, open the relevant Journal or activity panel and follow its countdown. A current 2026 guide reports that no official global reset announcement was available, so the in-game timer is the practical final check after a patch, maintenance window or regional service change.

What actually resets at the boundary?

A reset refills a counter according to that activity’s rules. It does not necessarily erase progress, award every reward automatically or restore a charge that was already stored at its cap. The tooltip for the individual activity determines whether the counter is daily, weekly, rechargeable, character-specific or server-shared.

Activity or limit Cadence Published allowance Does an unused allowance bank? Scope or qualification
Duty missions Daily 5 missions per day Not stated as bankable; treat as fixed daily attempts Check the activity tooltip for character/server scope
Nightmare attempts Daily 2 attempts per day Some Nightmare charge systems can store energy up to a cap; the specific tooltip controls Do not assume every Nightmare counter uses stored charges
Exploration rewards per dungeon Weekly 7 rewards per dungeon per week No accumulation beyond the normal weekly allowance Game8 reports refill at Wednesday’s reset
Ascension Trial entries Weekly 3 entries per week No accumulation beyond the normal weekly allowance Use the entry counter and weekly timer in game
Other rechargeable activities Charge-based Varies by activity May bank charges up to a displayed cap Aion 2 Timers lists capped Nightmare and other charge systems; verify the exact cap in the tooltip

The table separates two ideas that are often confused: refill and catch-up. A weekly counter can refill on Wednesday without granting extra entries for the days you did not play. Conversely, a rechargeable resource can accumulate while you are away, but only until its cap. A fixed daily mission limit is neither of those systems unless its own description explicitly says otherwise.

Do missed daily tasks catch up?

Usually, no. If you miss the 07:00 UTC boundary, a fixed daily reward, mission or attempt is generally replaced by the new day’s allowance rather than added to it. Five Duty missions that were not completed do not become ten the next day, and a missed Nightmare attempt should not be treated as a stored charge unless the Nightmare interface shows a recharge meter and cap.

Before leaving an activity, read its counter wording. Phrases such as “remaining entries,” “rewards this week” or “attempts today” describe a fixed allowance. A visible energy bar, recharge timer and maximum value indicate a bankable charge system. The latter can let you return later with several charges, but it still stops at the displayed cap.

What happens to weekly entries?

Weekly entries refill at the Wednesday reset. Game8 reports that unused weekly attempts do not carry beyond their normal allowance, so skipping Monday and Tuesday does not produce bonus entries on Wednesday. For the published examples, that means Exploration rewards return to their weekly limit and Ascension Trial entries return to three; they do not accumulate across weeks.

Are reset limits shared between alts?

Many limits are server-wide. An alt on the same server can consume an allowance that your main character would otherwise use, so changing characters does not necessarily give you a fresh set of entries. Aion2Maps specifically warns that many counters are per server.

The official Expedition guide gives a concrete example: unclaimed cube-reward counts reset weekly and are shared by characters on the same server. If one character claims the available server allowance, another character on that server cannot claim it again simply because it is an alt.

Do not extend that rule to every system. Progression, quest state, equipment and inventory functions can remain character-specific, while a particular reward counter may be server-specific. Confirm the scope in the activity panel before assigning runs to an alt.

How to coordinate a main and alts

  1. On the character that will perform the run, open the Journal or activity panel and record the remaining daily or weekly count.
  2. Check whether the counter says “server,” “shared,” or otherwise identifies a common pool. If it does, treat every character on that server as drawing from the same allowance.
  3. Spend server-shared weekly rewards on the character that benefits most before another alt uses the count.
  4. After switching characters, reopen the panel instead of relying on the previous character’s display; the remaining value may have changed.

What if you disconnect during an instance?

A reset timer is separate from an instance-disconnect safeguard. The official AION2-NC Expedition guide, updated September 23, 2026, states that an abnormal disconnection in Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary provides a 10-minute reconnection grace period. Reconnect within that window with the same party to allow re-entry without deducting a count.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The grace period does not pause or change the daily or Wednesday reset. It is a short recovery window for the interrupted run. If the reset occurs while you are disconnected, the activity’s own counter and the reconnection rule can interact, so reconnect first and then inspect the reward or entry counter before abandoning the room.

Recovery procedure after an abnormal disconnect

  1. Restart or relaunch the client immediately; do not wait for the full ten minutes.
  2. Log back into the same server and character used for the run.
  3. Rejoin the same party and use the instance’s re-entry option for Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary.
  4. Confirm that the room, party and reward counter are present before starting another activity.
  5. If re-entry fails, capture the displayed message and check the activity counter. The ten-minute rule is a grace period, not a guarantee after the window expires.

A practical pre-reset routine

Use this sequence before either the daily or Wednesday boundary. It is designed to prevent the two most expensive mistakes: letting a non-banking allowance expire and spending a server-shared count on the wrong character.

  1. Open the timer. Enter the in-game Journal or activity panel and note the countdown for your region. Do this after maintenance or a patch because regional service clocks can change.
  2. Spend capped resources first. Use daily attempts or energy that is close to its maximum. A charge that is already at cap cannot store additional regeneration.
  3. Finish fixed daily work. Complete remaining Duty missions and any daily attempts that do not show a recharge meter. The published examples are five Duty missions and two Nightmare attempts per day.
  4. Use expiring weekly entries. If you still have Exploration rewards or Ascension Trial entries and the tooltip does not describe banking, use them before Wednesday’s reset. The examples are seven Exploration rewards per dungeon and three Ascension Trial entries per week.
  5. Check the server pool. Decide which character should claim server-shared rewards, then avoid consuming those counts on an alt by accident.
  6. Protect active instances. If you disconnect, reconnect within ten minutes before abandoning an Expedition, Transcendence or Sanctuary room.
  7. Recheck after the boundary. Open each panel again after 07:00 UTC (or the timer’s stated regional equivalent) and verify the new allowance rather than assuming it refreshed.

Why reset times can appear inconsistent

UTC versus server-time labels

A site that says “07:00 UTC” and a regional page that says “05:00 server time” may be describing the same service from different clock conventions, or they may be using different regional data. Converting one label into another without knowing the server’s time zone creates a two-hour error. Keep the UTC schedule for Global planning, then validate it against the client countdown.

Patches and maintenance

Scheduled maintenance can temporarily prevent login near the reset, and a patch can alter an activity’s allowance or scope. A timer inside the current client reflects the live service more reliably than an older guide. Recheck the tooltip whenever the displayed maximum, cadence or wording changes.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Refill versus stored charge

A refill occurs at a calendar boundary. A stored charge regenerates over time and stops at a cap. These mechanics can coexist in the same activity, which is why “I missed yesterday” is not enough information to predict today’s count. Read whether the interface shows attempts, rewards, energy or a maximum charge value.

Common mistakes and fixes

  • Using local midnight as the reset: Compare your clock with 07:00 UTC and the in-game countdown; Aion 2 does not necessarily reset at your local midnight.
  • Expecting a missed day to create bonus entries: Fixed daily and weekly allowances normally do not accumulate. Complete them before the boundary.
  • Assuming every charge is character-specific: Many counters are server-wide. Check the scope before an alt claims a reward.
  • Confusing a weekly refill with carry-over: Wednesday restores the normal allowance; it does not add unused entries from the prior week.
  • Leaving after a disconnect: Reconnect within the official ten-minute window and verify the counter before abandoning the instance.
  • Trusting an old regional clock: If a page and the client disagree, use the current timer and note the region or server shown in the panel.

Bottom line for planning

For Global servers, schedule daily work before 07:00 UTC and weekly work before Wednesday at 07:00 UTC. Treat five Duty missions, two Nightmare attempts, seven weekly Exploration rewards per dungeon and three weekly Ascension Trial entries as finite examples unless their own tooltips show a rechargeable, capped resource. Missed fixed allowances do not normally catch up, many counters are shared across characters on one server, and an abnormal disconnect in the named instance types has a ten-minute reconnection grace period. When any reference conflicts, the live countdown and activity tooltip in your client take precedence.
